    Resident loves staff, meals, activities

I live here and I'm very happy - the staff are fantastic, friendly and caring, the community is welcoming, and the facility is clean and well-kept. Meals are very good and customizable, there are tons of activities (games, crafts, bingo, fantasy football, church, walks) so I've made many friends, and care is excellent. Rooms are spacious with hotel-style bathrooms and decent storage; facilities (courtyard, library, fenced grounds) are nice though not the newest, and admission was easy and affordable. I'd recommend this place to other families.

    About Valley Christian Home

Valley Christian Home sits in Hanford, California, with a history going back over 50 years, and you'll find it's a big place, over 45,000 square feet, where carpets line the halls and the furniture's comfortable everywhere, and there's these three main dining and living areas where folks gather for meals or just to talk, and the whole place has a real homey feel, where friends and family can come and visit any time, and you'll find the rooms come with phone and cable hook-ups, plus there are several different floor plans for singles or roommates, and some rooms even have private patios or full apartments to give folks extra privacy when they want it, while the staff stays on duty 24 hours a day to help out with assisted living and memory care needs, whether that's helping someone move around the place, providing diabetic or incontinence care, taking care of housekeeping, or giving reminders for medicine, and there are showers scheduled twice a week so everyone's comfortable.

Meals take place in a welcoming space where residents can pick from custom-crafted options, and snacks are always around if anyone gets hungry between set meals, and special diets like kosher or vegetarian meals are available too, which is handy for many folks. The staff likes to make sure residents come out of their rooms for meals so everyone gets a chance to socialize, and each day brings scheduled activities, from group games to exercise classes, plus all sorts of life enrichment programs that help keep people active, thinking, and connected, and there's even daily devotional or Bible study opportunities, along with decorations and events organized by a board made up of church members who volunteer their time and take part in visits. The environment is secure, and the board and staff always look out for safety, providing a warm Christian-based community rooted in caring for those in need.

There are personal tours available so prospective residents and their families can see the place firsthand before deciding, and the focus always stays on health, support, and comfort, with ongoing volunteer opportunities for anyone from the community who wants to get involved, so you end up with a place where elderly people can spend their days in comfort, with many choices for activities and care, and the support of friendly and caring staff who always try to make Valley Christian Home a safe and peaceful place for seniors.
