    About Just Like Home

Just Like Home gives seniors a chance to live in a small, cozy house with only a few other residents, and you can tell they want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable, and it does sort of feel more like somebody's family home, and less like a big facility, and the staff really try to help out with all the little things-bathing, dressing, grooming, and taking care of medicine, and they'll drive folks to doctor's appointments or errands. You'll find Alex and Mark working with residents each day, helping with daily routines and even walking with folks or getting them to beauty appointments. They've got both private suites and shared rooms, each with its own bathroom and kitchenette, plus air-conditioning, cable, and internet. They have washers and dryers handy for residents, and housekeeping and linen services keep the place tidy. There's a fitness center and a salon/barbershop, along with game rooms, gardens, and even movie entertainment or music therapy, so there's plenty to do if you want to get out and socialize, or just relax. The meals use organic food and are made fresh, and you can get special diets for things like high blood pressure or diabetes, which matters if you need a little extra care at mealtime. Folks get help with transferring if they need it, and there's staff available all night and day, with a 24-hour call system and regular supervision. They have a care program called "Just Like Home" that lays out a plan for each person, kind of like building a comfortable road map, so each person gets what they need, whether that's memory care, assisted living, or respite care. The facility can support hospice care too, so if someone needs long-term or complex support, they try to meet those needs without making anyone feel like a number. The property is regulated by California's Department of Social Services under license number 247203331 and allows up to six seniors at one time, which keeps things quieter and more personal. Residents can get to religious services, community evening events, or just enjoy quiet reading in the book room, and if they want to garden or sit outside, there's space for that too. You'll find personal touches throughout the place, all meant to make it easier, simpler, and a bit more like the home most folks remember, and while no place is perfect, this small residential care home works hard to offer a safe, friendly, and gentle setting for older adults who need some support as they age.
