    Accommodating staff great dining concerns

I toured and ultimately moved in - I found the staff overwhelmingly accommodating, the move-in process smooth, and leadership (Executive/Community Relations) helpful and engaging. Dining and chef-driven meals are a real highlight (fresh salmon, lots of choices), activities are plentiful and returning post-COVID, and residents seemed happy and social. The property is well maintained with recent renovations, lovely gardens, gym, theater, great ocean/Vista views, and roomy apartments with balconies, walk-in showers and in-unit laundry. On the downside I saw recurring reports of staffing shortfalls, occasional maintenance/parking hiccups, and some isolated but serious past issues in memory care and food/infestation-so I recommend asking direct questions about staffing, safety and fees. Overall I'm pleased and would recommend visiting for a tour to judge fit for your needs.

    About The Park Lane

The Park Lane is a senior living community with the look and feel of a high-end, cruise liner-like experience where almost everything sits close by for residents' convenience, and folks can choose the level of support they need. The place stands out for clear areas called Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, all in one spot, so older adults can stay as their needs change, from living on their own to needing more help or even support for memory loss like Alzheimer's or dementia. People find spacious rooms with private balconies, bright kitchens with granite and white cabinets, cozy bedrooms, and private bathrooms with roll-in or walk-in showers and grab bars for safety-plus personal emergency buttons for peace of mind, and the whole building's accessible for wheelchairs and meets ADA rules. Some rooms in Memory Care are studios with easy access and comfortable furniture, and seniors bringing pets are welcome in pet-friendly apartments, with specific pet beds and bowls.

There's lots to do, with activity rooms for cards, billiards, and pool, while lounges, libraries with fireplaces, and elegant dining rooms give folks plenty of comfortable places to gather. Outside, you'll see well-kept gardens, patios with good patio furniture, and lush landscaping, and there's a pool and hot tub for residents to enjoy. Residents often remark on the attractive grounds and the Vista Lounge at the top of The Towers, where you can even see fireworks displays on clear nights. Health and wellness support includes on-site doctors, nurses, therapists, and a range of services like help with medicines, bathing, and dressing, plus memory care programs with special therapies and individualized care plans. Staff is fully trained, and there's always someone to help day or night, and there's a warm and friendly atmosphere with everyone from staff to residents being helpful, joyful, and kind, which seems to make it a pleasant place for daily life.

Many find the meals well done, with room service available and formal dining rooms featuring Italian art and careful place settings, and there's a beautician and barber on site. The community schedules activities, exercise and art classes, day trips, crafts, happy hours, and spiritual services. Extras like a Roman-style spa, modern common spaces, and Wi-Fi throughout add to daily comfort. There's parking, complimentary transportation, and strict no-smoking rules indoors. Folks choosing The Park Lane can get additional help from homecare aides, hospice, podiatry, and dental visits when needed. Whether searching for independent living with little fuss, assisted care for safety and support, or secure memory care, The Park Lane has thoughtful features and services aimed at letting seniors stay active, cared for, and comfortable in one welcoming place.
