    Immaculate facility, warm staff, homey

I've lived here nearly two years and love it. The food is excellent, the facility is immaculate and beautifully decorated, and my spacious, self-contained apartment has its own bath and a lovely patio with plants and birds. Staff are warm, caring, and treat residents like family - safe, dignified care with plenty of activities, movies, piano, and outings; move-in was easy and the all-inclusive flat fee is affordable. I'm grateful my family and I feel at home and I highly recommend it.

    About Valley Pines Assisted Living

Valley Pines Assisted Living sits on two pine-covered acres in Morgan Hill, California, with a single-story layout that's easy to get around for folks who have trouble with stairs, and the building itself is medium-sized, so things never feel too crowded or too empty either. The Heinan family has owned and run the place for over 30 years, and many of the staff have been there over ten years themselves, which means people usually see the same warm faces every day and can feel comfortable knowing the staff know them, their stories, and their needs. Residents can bring their pets if they have them, and the grounds have covered patios, gardens, and paved walkways, plus gazebos, aviaries, and lots of outdoor places to just sit, watch birds, tend some plants, or visit with other people.

There's housekeeping and laundry services, so residents don't have to keep up with chores, and nutritious home-cooked meals are prepared in-house and served in the dining areas, but room service is available if someone isn't feeling up to dining with the group. The kitchen can also help with special diets like low salt meals. Indoor features include spacious private rooms with their own bathrooms, telephone lines, cable TV hookups, closets, and sometimes kitchenettes, depending on the room. Inside, you'll find recreation rooms, spaces for arts and crafts, a family movie room, book club meetings, and areas where people gather for games or to listen to the resident musical group. The place offers Wi-Fi and high-speed internet, too, which is handy for connecting with family or following hobbies online.

Valley Pines serves independent seniors, folks who need assisted living, and also people with Alzheimer's or other memory issues through its memory care program. The care team provides support for bathing, dressing, medication, and other personal needs. They help with transportation for appointments or errands, and caregivers are around 24 hours a day. Physical therapy is offered, and there are always people to help with mobility or medication management so no one has to worry about keeping up with a schedule alone. The community holds regular events, clubs, exercise classes to help with balance, as well as lectures, musical programs, religious services onsite, plus options to attend devotional services or activities elsewhere, especially with the free transportation vans.

Outdoor leisure and gardening clubs, social dining, special events including family visits, and guest meal options make it easy to stay social or host loved ones. Parking is available for both residents and visitors. Rates are based on individual assessments to fit each person's needs, and the staff focuses on maintaining each person's dignity, independence, and peace. The facility is state licensed, awarded for its senior care, and has the non-medical facility number #430702352. Valley Pines is close to shopping, restaurants, medical offices, and sits along a public bus line near downtown and the library, so residents have access to the greater community when they want it. Tours are available for new folks to see the place for themselves before making a decision.
