    Compassionate care in beautiful facility

I lived here four years. The staff were overwhelmingly caring, kind and professional - they gave excellent, compassionate day-to-day care and were timely and supportive after I broke my leg and needed a higher level of care. The facility is beautiful, bright and spotless with lovely dining spaces, activity rooms, outings, a vintage soda-fountain and a lively social scene; drawbacks were occasional rushed or uninformed staff, limited food variety, higher cost, and it isn't set up for memory care - overall I highly recommend it.

    About Casa De Flores

Casa De Flores sits in Morro Bay, California, and offers care and living for seniors at many stages, whether someone needs a little help or is fully independent, and you'll find it's got independent living, assisted living, memory care for people with dementia, and even a nursing home, so the campus covers a lot of needs, with some folks staying there long-term as needs change. The place sits near the hillside, so folks get views and some nice fresh ocean breeze, plus it's close to the marina, shops, galleries, and restaurants if someone wants to get out and about-residents often take trips for errands or fun. There's a newly remodeled residence with a Spanish-style look, two fireplaces, elegant living rooms, and a lush courtyard with plenty of flowers and birds, and the accommodations come in several styles like studio, large studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, both private and semi-private, with updated common areas, dining rooms, and even a physical therapy room. They serve several nutritious meal choices every day, including gourmet meals in a restaurant, and dietary needs get attention, so people with restrictions or preferences get options, and they'll even do a complimentary lunch if someone wants to visit. Staff helps with medication management, daily living needs, and incontinence, and there's supervision all day and night for safety, with secure entry points and systems for residents who need closer watch, especially in the memory care area. They offer skilled nursing services, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and wellness help, and some folks use home care services for non-medical help and company. There's an option for respite care, which means people can stay short-term to recover after an illness or hospital visit or just to give family caregivers a break. Pets are allowed, with policies for cats and dogs, so people don't have to give up their animals. The community encourages staying active and connected, with fitness groups, devotional activities, scheduled daily social events, resident-led programs, and chances to get out and about with community transportation. Staff handles move-in help and concierge needs, plus there's parking and regular housekeeping and linen service. With all sorts of care services in one place, from independent to assisted living, and memory care to skilled nursing, Casa De Flores can be a fit if someone wants to keep living with as much freedom or assistance as needed, in a setting where folks look out for each other and staff tries to make it feel comfortable and familiar.
