    Gorgeous building; caregivers vary greatly

I live here - the gorgeous Victorian building is clean, beautifully decorated, safe and has a positive vibe. Care is inconsistent: I've encountered untrustworthy, uncaring (even worst) caregivers but also compassionate staff who went the extra mile and gave excellent care. Overall I highly recommend it, with the caveat that caregiver quality can vary.

    About Bonnevie Residence And Care

Bonnevie Residence And Care sits in San Jose, California, inside a Victorian-style house with charming architecture and well-kept, beautiful interiors that make it feel like home, and folks there can choose from studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, semi-private, or private rooms, all with private baths, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and wheelchair accessible showers. The place offers a wide range of care, such as assisted living, memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, independent living for seniors who like a bit less help, and 24/7 skilled nursing care for people who need continuous medical support, plus there's incontinence care, medication help, high acuity care, and ambulatory care, so many different health needs are covered.

The staff provides all sorts of services including hospice and Medicare-certified home health care, so even if someone needs short-term or respite stays, or adult day services, or only needs non-medical home care, they can find something that works for them and their family, and because the care team focuses on keeping everyone's dignity and comfort in mind, the residents often seem both safe and respected, and the facility keeps a strong focus on safety and security so families don't have to worry.

Meals at Bonnevie Residence And Care come in many kinds-from kosher, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and low or no sodium, to no sugar options, all served restaurant-style, and if someone isn't up for the dining room, room service's available too, which makes things a bit easier, and since the kitchen can take on special diets, it's easier for more folks to feel comfortable. Residents have access to both indoor and outdoor gathering spaces where activities like art classes, karaoke, trivia, live music, BBQs, religious services, educational talks, and holiday parties happen, so even if someone's not too social, they can find something that fits them, and the lifelong learning program, which covers arts and cultural programs, offers ways to keep busy and mentally active.

Transportation and parking's provided, and if anyone needs a ride, staff arranges it-sometimes at no cost or sometimes for a fee depending on the outing, but the option's there either way. The environment stays clean, friendly, and less crowded than some larger places, so most rooms and shared areas feel peaceful, which people tend to appreciate, and it's clear staff works hard to make it cozy and treat folks like family.

Bonnevie Residence And Care has received several awards for meals, activities, and friendliness, although the place doesn't call itself the best, it's been noticed for quality. Open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM under facility number 435202376, the home makes it easy for visitors to get directions and drop by, and costs generally range between $5,500 and $10,000+ monthly, which depends on how much help a resident needs and what services get added on. For seniors or families looking for an honest, straightforward setting, with different levels of care and a pleasant, home-like environment, Bonnevie Residence And Care offers a quiet place for people needing support and a respect for each individual's needs.
