    Warm attentive staff, beautiful views

I toured this senior living community and was very impressed. The staff - administrator Shayna, caregivers and med-techs - are warm, attentive and treat residents like family; residents seem engaged and well cared for. The facility is beautiful, very clean, with open layouts, patios and surreal mountain/farming views; meals are delicious, healthy, customizable and served three times a day, and communication with families is prompt. Downsides: no resident transportation/outings and the price is high. Overall, I highly recommend it.

    About AAA Kindness Care

AAA Kindness Care sits on 20 peaceful acres in the Santa Maria countryside, tucked away from city noise and overlooking the San Rafael Mountains, and you'll notice right away that the place is quiet and gives off a sense of calm, with a high-end Tuscany-style look and nice views that add to the relaxing feel, and the grounds are spacious, with a beautiful backyard, nature walking paths, and a gazebo built by Amparo and Charles Hunt, where folks can sit outside, enjoy nature, or join in on the daily group exercise class if they're up for it. The care team makes a point to treat everyone with kindness, love, and respect in all interactions, so residents and their families usually feel welcome and supported. AAA Kindness Care focuses deeply on both assisted living and memory care, and they've set up a safe, secure place with state-of-the-art help alert technology, so staff can respond quickly if someone needs help anytime, since they also have 24-hour supervision and a 24-hour call system.

The facility houses up to 32 residents at a time, offering private or shared apartments-some with private baths and wheelchair-accessible showers or walk-in jacuzzi tubs-and there's a barber and salon on site too for personal grooming, plus an Environmental Services team that keeps everything clean and healthy. Residents receive help with bathing, grooming, dressing, transfers, and any activities of daily living, and there's regular medication management, along with support for personal hygiene. Care plans are personalized, which means every resident gets a level of care based on their own needs, and those who need daily hands-on help can also opt for a board and care home setting within the community. They're strict about their no-pets policy, so no animals roam the property.

Meals here are handcrafted daily by experienced chefs, using locally sourced ingredients when possible, and the kitchen offers three main meals a day plus a few snacks, and they'll pay attention to special dietary needs. The Life Enrichment Program runs seven days a week and covers fitness, musical memories, group activities, and a calendar full of social events like movie nights, games, hobbies, and group outings, giving people a chance to make friends or just enjoy some company. There are amenities for walking, gardening, and relaxing, like walking paths and a garden, with seniors encouraged to stay active inside and out.

Residents have transportation options if they need to go out to run errands, to medical appointments, or join community-sponsored events. Staff coordinate with local healthcare teams, pharmacies, physicians, and Hospice or Home Health agencies, and keep an eye on everyone's medication needs. The facility features things like modern medical equipment, wheelchair accessibility, and regular room cleaning and laundry, and they're ready to adjust help as needs change.

AAA Kindness Care doesn't allow pets, but they do their best to create a loving, peaceful, and uplifting environment, filling days with support, activities, and good food. It's the kind of place where older adults with a range of care needs-whether they're looking for memory care, assisted living, or just a safe, social place to call home-can spend their days in a safe, friendly setting, with help always nearby if they need it, and where caregivers truly dedicate themselves to treating everyone with kindness and respect. The whole setup runs under California State License 425850033.
