    About Home Sweet Home Care

Home Sweet Home Care sits at 7520 Van Buren St in Ventura, CA, offering a smaller, home-like senior care setting with only 6 beds, where folks can get help with daily living while keeping some independence, and, you know, sometimes people really want that peaceful, family feel you don't see in bigger buildings. The place covers assisted living, memory care, independent living, respite, adult day care, and hospice, plus access to skilled nursing and home care if needed-pretty flexible for such a small spot. The care team follows care plans built for each resident, helping with things like bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, toileting, and medication, while staff stays on-site 24 hours a day, so help's always right there when you need it, which can be a big relief for families. Home Sweet Home Care's got a physical therapist owner, and they've been at it since 2008, so they know what folks need, and especially for those dealing with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, dementia, or who have trouble walking, wheelchair users, people who spend more time in bed, and those needing frequent supervision, they'll find the rooms are wheelchair accessible, and there's always a hand ready if someone needs help moving or transferring from beds and chairs. Meals get prepared to suit different diets, including for diabetes or allergies, and it's easy to find a meal at any time of day. There are activity plans to help everyone stay active in mind and body, and people can pick which things they like best, whether it's movie nights, gardening, or walks around the grounds. You get help with laundry and housekeeping, and transportation's available for doctor visits, errands, or just getting around town. The focus lies in treating residents with dignity and compassion and seeing them as whole people, including their spiritual needs, and the single-family home setting means everyone can get to know each other-and that makes it a pretty comfortable place to settle into, especially for those who want steady help but not the feel of a big facility. Staff get training on residents' rights, and every plan changes as folks' needs change, so care is always a good fit. There's advice from a team familiar with other local senior living options, and the place works with the Senior Care Authority network, so families have someone to talk to about what's out there, whether it's at Home Sweet Home Care or another community in Ventura.
