    Good for lower-care, not dementia

I placed my loved one here and found it clean, homey and staffed by genuinely caring, attentive people - good food, snacks, weekly cleaning, activities, pet-friendly yard and pool helped her settle and eat better. That said, the large building is in a sketchy area, communication was sometimes poor, and they couldn't provide the 24/7/dementia-level nursing we needed (we had to arrange third-party care). I appreciated the supportive owner, responsive staff updates and hospice visits - I'd recommend it for lower-care residents but not for those needing full-time medical/dementia care.

    About Angelic Manor

Angelic Manor is a small senior living community in Wildomar, California where residents find help with daily activities like dressing, bathing, cooking, and taking their medicine if they need it, and it's licensed as a Residential Care Elderly facility with state oversight for up to six people, so folks can expect more personal attention in a quiet, private house setting and not some big building. The rooms come either as studios or semi-private, both with private baths, and meals are home-cooked three times a day, accommodating special diets for diabetes or allergies when that's needed. People who live here can join activities like crafts, music therapy, pet therapy, exercise, tabletop games, movie nights, and outings with transportation coordination for doctor's appointments, shopping, or church, or just enjoy relaxing outside in yard and common areas, so everyone can stay active if they want.

Caregivers are around 24 hours a day for assistance with bathing, dressing, transferring with a mechanical or manual lift-even with two staff if somebody needs more help-so those who need heavy care with most or all daily tasks, including incontinence support or specialized diets, get the help they require and the staff can also do blood sugar checks, give insulin shots (though they don't handle sliding scales), and help with bowel care as needed, and there's specialized memory care for people with dementia or Alzheimer's, with individual plans and activities to support their cognitive health. The staff speak English and Filipino, so language barriers aren't usually much of a problem, and they are awake all night, so there's quick help at any hour. The place welcomes residents over age 60, including those who use wheelchairs or need non-ambulatory care, and will coordinate with home health, hospice, and skilled nursing services when someone has complex needs.

Everyone gets scheduled housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes, with all utilities included, and there's even move-in help, so the transition's a little easier. Family and friends can visit on weekdays from 8 in the morning to 6 at night, or set up weekend visits by appointment, and there are Christian services if someone wants them. The home offers what's called board and care services, which means it feels more like living at home but with help always available, and residents are encouraged to join social, educational, and fun group activities, from crafts to community party nights, in a setting that's designed for both safety and comfort. With prices averaging about $2,000 for a studio and $1,800 for a shared room, and private baths in every unit, it's meant for seniors who want long-term care with dignity and some independence, supported by staff who try to make everyone feel comfortable and respected, as well as connecting with long-term care ombudsman advocacy when needed so families know someone's watching out for residents' rights. Angelic Manor offers virtual tours and consultations Monday through Friday, with appointments on the weekends, so people interested can take a good look and ask questions first.
