    Compassionate dementia care, management issues

I looked at this Temecula/Wildomar house for my dad and loved the homey, clean facility, delicious homemade meals, and the compassionate, one-on-one dementia care-Brandee and Dee Dee were outstanding and staff treated residents like family, giving me real peace of mind. Communication was proactive, owners and caregivers were caring and attentive 24/7, and my loved one improved and felt comfortable. My major complaint: poor management-the administrator was unhelpful and visiting policies felt overly restrictive, which marred an otherwise excellent care experience.

About Sarahs Great Life - Wildomar, California

Sarahs Great Life in Wildomar, California, sits about 3.3 miles outside the town and offers assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, independent living, and even adult day care for seniors. The small community has a 6-bed limit, which lets everyone know each other, and the place feels a lot like a home with both shared and private rooms, studio layouts, and living spaces that include bedrooms, activity areas, and outside spots with room to walk or spend time. Licensed and operating under the leadership of Ms. Taina Uata as CEO, the facility provides care tailored to each person's needs, whether that means help with memory loss, Alzheimer's, dementia, or just some extra support with daily tasks. Nurses and trained caregivers are always there, day or night, so there's someone to help with medication or emergencies, and safety features throughout the building-like handrails, sprinklers, and walk-in accessibility-give a little peace of mind.

Residents can stay active with social programs, arts and crafts, educational and health classes, a fitness center, a games room, and even a salon and barbershop on site, while the kitchen team makes meals that fit special diets, including gluten-free or low-sodium options, and handles laundry and housekeeping too. The staff helps with transportation and has activities planned to give people a chance to talk and make friends, while individualized care plans make sure personal needs get attention. There are support services for families figuring out long-term care or insurance, and the community has continued to meet the requirements laid out in its licensing, reviewed as recently as November 2021. The reviews from families and residents average 5 out of 5, or about 9.1 out of 10, with many noting the home-like feel, clean environment, and steady support, though the facility isn't accredited with the BBB. Safety and comfort stay a focus, whether for people who want to keep their independence, need memory support, or require nursing care.
