Gorgeous facility, compassionate staff, caveats
I moved my mom into this beautiful, nearly-new facility and love the upscale, apartment-style rooms, pool/jacuzzi, spa, library and activities (bingo, trips, Bible study - even live reindeer at the holidays). The staff are the highlight: compassionate, professional and often go above and beyond - caregivers felt like family and provided excellent end-of-life care. Dining is mixed: Sunday brunch and some meals are restaurant-quality, but other meals can be small, overly sugary/processed and disappointing. It's pet-friendly and offers assisted living services, but staff are stretched thin at times and turnover hurts continuity of care. Management is frustrating: high rent, many extra fees, and occasional poor administration or unavailable activities. Overall it's a gorgeous, caring place that gives peace of mind if you can afford it and accept the management shortcomings.
