    Affordable pet-friendly but safety concerns

    I like the small, affordable, pet-friendly apartments, the convenient location and the weekly door-to-door bus service. I'm worried about recurring health and safety problems: bat droppings and mold in units, failing air conditioners, unsecured exterior doors, unraveling carpet and poor snow removal creating trip hazards, and dogs off leash. Emergency drills are irregular/poorly communicated and on-site management has been unhelpful and unresponsive to resident concerns, so I'd proceed with caution.
