Clean, caring, pricey, poor memory-care
I loved the small, home-like Serenity Homes - very clean, well-run, and the staff were consistently kind, compassionate and well-trained; the owner's fitness emphasis and personalized care plans helped my mom feel happy and safe. The place is expensive ($4,600/mo), rooms are small with shared bathrooms, there were some administrative delays, and TV is Netflix/YouTube only. Food was mixed - my mom sometimes complained about repetitive meals though others praised the home-cooked food and activities. Overall excellent for many residents, but they weren't equipped for my mom's advancing memory-care needs (assessment missed this and we experienced wandering), so it wasn't the right fit for us.
