Live To Assist is a group care home designed to provide both long-term care and respite care in an environment that feels truly like home. This care home was created out of a lifelong dream by owners Michelle and Tyler Westerman, who sought to bring a special blend of caring and hospitality to the Fort Collins community. The sense of family is deeply woven into daily life at Live To Assist, with Michelle and Tyler’s two young sons frequently visiting to share warmth and affection with the residents.
Every resident at Live To Assist enjoys a spacious private room, thoughtfully arranged to provide comfort and a sense of home. The home features comfortable beds and seating for friends and family, as well as access to television for entertainment and updates on world events. Residents also benefit from a beautiful, wheelchair-accessible backyard garden where they can spend time outdoors, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The entire setting is designed not just for safety, but to foster a feeling of belonging and ease.
At Live To Assist, personalized care is a cornerstone, with assistance offered for bathing, toileting, dressing, and transfers to help each resident maintain both dignity and independence. The staff also provides medication supervision and assistance, ensuring that residents' health needs are carefully managed. Meals at Live To Assist are home-cooked and nutritious, with an emphasis on delicious and thoughtful food choices. Residents are given flexibility, such as being able to order breakfast items like eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, or French toast, creating both a sense of autonomy and enjoyment at mealtime.
