Windsong at Northridge sits at 7010 W. 8th St. in Greeley, Colorado, and provides care for seniors with memory loss, including Alzheimer's and dementia, with 52 pet-friendly units in a secure setting that feels inviting and comfortable, and there's a real focus on routine, safety, and community, because they know how important that is for folks who need memory care, and they've got dedicated care units called Windsong at Northridge where trained staff deliver services designed for the unique needs of people with memory challenges. The facility follows the Montessori Inspired Lifestyle® Approach, which means residents get to join in daily activities, work on things that use their hands and minds, and keep up with as much independence as possible, because the program believes in giving everyone a chance to feel useful and connected, and this even taps into muscle memory to help bring joy and maintain skills. The entire community stays secured, with special features to help residents feel comfortable and safe, like wheelchair access, ramps, accessible bathrooms, disabled parking, and even Braille signs, so anyone with disabilities can get around. Staff are there to give medication help, medical support, meals, and assistance with laundry and housekeeping, and there's always staff around to make sure health and personal needs don't get overlooked, plus there's a community atmosphere with people chatting, socializing, and joining in a packed calendar of activities-everything from education and entertainment to time outside in secure courtyards or getting a haircut from the on-site beautician. The community accepts insurance and can help immigrants without documentation, though with certain restrictions, and most staff communicate in English. Aidan Health Services manages Windsong at Northridge, and the place is regulated by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, so there are clear standards in place. Families can visit Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or set an appointment if a different time works better, and residents have a range of room options to help them feel at home, plus support for memory loss needs, whether it's dementia or Alzheimer's, is always top of mind, so there's a strong focus on keeping folks safe, active, and as independent as possible in a place that feels like a real community, and for more details about programs and features, you can look up their website at windsongmemorycare.com.
Poor care, rude staff, overpriced
I lived here and would not recommend. Management is poor and supervision is lacking - chronic understaffing, rude front-desk (LeAnn), staff drama, and terrible communication. Care and housekeeping are inconsistent: dirty rooms/bathrooms, slow to answer call pendants, missed showers/meals, medication and medical follow-ups mishandled. Visitation rules were enforced unfairly (mask exemption issues) and policies shuffled without notice. Rates keep rising (around $7,250/mo, recent $600 increases) with no improvement. A few caregivers are kind when they can, but overall I'm moving to a more affordable, attentive place.
