    Compassionate family oriented spotless care

I placed my loved one here and am very pleased. The small, family-oriented staff-administration, nurses, CNAs and maintenance-treated her like family, provided individualized, compassionate care and went above and beyond; the facility is spotless and homelike (no hospital smell). Meals are excellent and personalized by a nutritionist, there are plenty of activities including weekly church/Bible study, and the only minor issue was a weaker afternoon shift once (cold soup initially, but they fixed it).

About Regent Park Nursing and Rehabilitation & Carriage House

Regent Park Nursing and Rehabilitation & Carriage House Assisted Living sits in Holyoke, Colorado, offering both nursing care and assisted living in one place, which people tend to find useful since folks who need extra help can stay close to each other, and because you can move from one type of care to another without moving far. The facility covers a range of services, like post-hospital rehab, long-term skilled nursing, memory care, and even adult foster care, which really helps when someone needs different levels of support. The Carriage House Assisted Living side sits at 816 S Interocean Ave on the same campus, making it part of a community designed for older adults needing help with daily tasks but still wanting independence, while the nursing and rehab side offers more clinical and round-the-clock support for those who need it.

The place opened in 1993 and joined Vivage Senior Living, which manages several facilities like this across Colorado. It operates under a corporate ownership and holds a capacity for 51 beds with 41 residents staying there in March 2025-a rate of 81% occupancy, which isn't overcrowded but shows there's a steady group of folks living there. Regent Park Nursing takes people who qualify for Medicare and Medicaid and keeps a five-star rating in categories like health inspections, quality measures, and staffing, although there's also a one-star rating for staff and health in recent state audits, which paints a mixed picture about the people and how tightly things run, and you'll find that the facility received two fines over the last couple years-totaling a little over $16,000-but has kept letting new residents come in, and hasn't had any substantiated complaints or new fines since then according to the records.

The staff spends about 3.08 nurse hours per resident each day, and while there's about 0.3 other staff hours, it means the nurses are expected to cover a lot, so if folks have complex needs, family probably asks a lot of questions to be sure everyone gets enough attention. There's a full sprinkler system, and the place sits in a hospital, which makes it easier to get emergency care or advanced treatment when someone takes a turn for the worse. The facility supports people coming from all backgrounds, which helps everybody feel welcome, and there's an emphasis on letting each person make as many day-to-day choices as possible through person-centered plans.

Rooms come with cable-ready TV, and people eat dietitian-supervised meals restaurant-style. Folks can use a computer lounge with free internet, go out for community trips or take part in holiday celebrations, join councils, or volunteer-so there's something for everyone, whether you're looking for quiet, conversation, or to be active. There are features for memory care, therapies like speech, occupational, and physical rehab, and support for behavioral health needs, so someone who goes through an injury, stroke, or surgery can get help getting back on their feet. Carriage House adds assisted living options right there, so people who need less medical help but do want some support can still live in the same community.

Reviews show a positive trend, with a 4.91 rating out of 69 clinicians, but the ranking puts Regent Park at 208 out of 228 Colorado nursing homes, or 28 out of 31 within 100 miles-not at the very top but still above many other nearby places, and it's known for consistent results over time even with a couple bumps in health inspection history. It sits within the top 9% of Colorado homes by one measure, though it's 6 out of 9 in Holyoke, so folks should look at recent ratings and see if it fits what they're looking for. The place now welcomes people who want long-term skilled care, assisted living, respite, or hospice, and provides lots of information for families trying to decide what kind of care fits best. There's a focus on letting residents keep their dignity and make their own choices, with personalized attention, so people who live there have a say in how their days go.
