WestLake Care Community sits in a quiet residential neighborhood near Sloan's Lake, offering assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and home health care services for people who need different levels of help as they age, and folks coming here find nurses and certified nursing assistants available 24 hours a day, with a Medical Director overseeing care and a nurses station providing close medical oversight, and people also have access to wound care, IV therapy, pain management with options like whirlpool, massage, aromatherapy, pet therapy, and heat therapy, as well as therapy gym facilities for rehabilitation, which are all managed by Colavria Hospitality. WestLake Care Community, as a non-profit and part of CHCA District I, tries to provide residents and their Care Partners a safe, supportive place to live, aiming to keep everyone comfortable and letting them maintain their dignity and independence, and they've got a dining room and kitchen where "Home Cooked Meals" are made, though the listing said "0/ dayHome Cooked Meals" which could mean either three meals a day or another arrangement-it's worth asking about when touring the place. Residents can join in on recreational activities, social programs, and spiritual events, and there's always something happening as part of the long-term activities or the community's programs, trying to bring people together and building moments of connection. All the care plans, including short-term rehab with help from a team of Care Partners, focus on the person's needs and goals, with personalized support so people can reach their rehabilitative aims. The staff tries to see beyond just the medical conditions by celebrating relationships, and the community feels warm and welcoming, not cold or clinical, so people can recover, live, and get the help they need. WestLake Care Community features a therapy gym, activities program, neighborhood accommodations, and an atmosphere that fosters friendships. Folks can ask about tours, get eBrochures, or go online for more information-it tries to keep people informed with social media updates and online sign-ups, and they've got a dedicated contact for admissions if someone needs more specific details. The community is recognized for its innovative approach to care, with nursing and therapy services for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term stays, and many residents have good words about the people and the care.

Great caregivers, broken management, unsafe
I have mixed feelings. The nurses, aides, rehab and kitchen staff were often kind, attentive and helped my loved one improve - clean rooms, good therapy and warm caregivers. But administration was rude and defensive, call buttons were ignored, meds and meals were mishandled, safety incidents (bedsores, a patient attack, police report of a foot ulcer) and mishandling of belongings after a death alarmed me. Bottom line: excellent frontline staff, broken leadership and systems - verify safety and management before trusting them with a loved one.
