    Caring staff, lovely grounds, unsafe

I appreciated the attentive, caring, family-like staff, well-maintained grounds, lovely dining room with delicious meals and healthy snacks, and plenty of stimulating activities and mental-health support. However I observed serious safety and care concerns - a constantly barking, aggressive live-in pit bull, signs of neglect and poor management, and an assault that wasn't addressed; the presence of some residents with felony histories also made me uneasy. Overall it's a pleasant, rural facility with wonderful caregivers, but those safety/management issues give me pause about placing a loved one.
