    Bright, caring staff; pricey rooms

I live here and appreciate the bright, well-designed foyer, well-tended grounds, fresh air, lovely views and spacious private suite with individual temperature control. The staff are kind, caring and often go the extra mile - many nurses are amazing, though a few are inconsistent. Dining is restaurant-style with delicious choices, varied outings and active communal areas keep residents engaged. Downsides: private rooms are expensive and often not covered by insurance, in-room refrigerators aren't allowed, and I've felt my mobility/dietary needs and sometimes my payment status weren't always well understood or treated fairly.

    About Villa Rosa I, Inc.

Villa Rosa I, Inc. sits at 182 West 9th Street in Hialeah, Florida, and provides assisted living for up to 40 seniors, and you'll see right away that the building's licensed for this kind of care and has staff on hand at all hours to help with bathing, dressing, mobility, or taking medicine, which helps a great deal if you're not steady on your feet or if you've had surgery like a gastric bypass, because the staff are ready for the extra needs that come with disabilities. Residents get a fully furnished room with a kitchenette, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a telephone, and the place feels pretty homey, with laundry and housekeeping taken care of, so you don't have to worry about those chores piling up. The community serves three meals a day in a dining room, and the kitchen pays close attention to health, giving out meals for special diets like diabetes or allergies, plus there's a mental wellness program and devotional activities offsite if you want to take part. The grounds have a garden, outdoor seating, and walking paths for when you want fresh air, and there's a beauty salon and barber inside for a trim or a little pampering, which helps the days go by. People who live here can join all sorts of activities-movie nights, arts and crafts in the arts room, and other events, as well as scheduled transportation to doctor's appointments or outings into the community, so there's always a way to keep busy. There's an emergency call system you can use day or night, and safety measures like fire alarms and features for folks who use walkers or wheelchairs, so families get a bit of peace knowing there's help close by. Michele Perez leads the place as president and the business has been active since 2015, with annual reporting and the right licenses in place, and while Villa Rosa I, Inc. doesn't take Medicare unless officially certified, the staff still provide long-term care and support for older adults needing extra help each day. The facility's received the Best of Senior Living Award and the Best of Senior Living All Star Award, and while it's a business like any other, it's set up to make daily living easier for seniors, with music, gardening, games, and pretty much every need-big or small-looked after by people who know what they're doing.
