    Small family oriented respectful care

I toured this small, 11‑bed, house‑like facility with semi‑private rooms — residents seemed happy and families were clearly involved. Staffing is limited (one per shift), but the staff were pleasant and provided 24/7, health‑focused care that felt respectful, trusting, and comforting. The interior could use some upgrades/painting, but overall it’s a family‑oriented place that honors residents’ choices.

    About Bel-Air House

Bel-Air House is a small, cozy board and care home in New Port Richey, Florida, with space for up to 11 residents, so it's quiet and feels like a close-knit home rather than a big facility, and the atmosphere's calm with a welcoming, domestic feel where residents tend to form good relationships with caregivers and each other. The home offers several kinds of care, including assisted living, memory care, residential care home services, and skilled nursing care, and it's certified and licensed by Florida's Department of Social Services under license number 6135, though it's wise to check the license yourself for peace of mind. Staff includes trained caregivers, and there's one staff member per shift, so assistance can be limited at certain times, but the care is personal and tailored to each person's needs, helping with bathing, dressing, walking, eating, toileting, and medication management. Residents have private or semi-private living spaces, and some rooms might have a kitchenette, while the common areas like dining rooms, game rooms, reading room, and a party space are set up for meals, social gatherings, or relaxing together. The home provides three home-cooked meals daily and can make special dietary changes for health needs like high blood pressure or diabetes, and help's available for getting to doctor's visits, shopping trips, faith activities, and other outings.

Bel-Air House serves older adults who want to stay independent but need extra support, with care programs focused on helping folks enjoy their golden years and keeping them as independent as they can be. The community speaks English but offers some services in other languages, and they accept pets, which can make the place feel even more like home. Respite care is available for short-term stays if someone's caregiver needs a break. Activities are scheduled both in and out of the home, including movie nights, music, arts, fitness, recreation, and religious services, and there are garden spaces and wellness areas like a steam room and hot tub for relaxation or enjoyment. There's a wellness team that might include psychiatrists and psychoanalysts, so support's available for mental health and memory, especially for those with dementia or Alzheimer's. The caregiver-to-senior ratio is a requirement, and the staff's always ready to help with daily needs, including hygiene and clothing assistance. Because Bel-Air House is small, folks who prefer a quieter, private setting with a steady routine tend to feel at ease, and the community is focused on fair housing and equal opportunity for everyone who lives there.
