    About Sodalis Pensacola

Sodalis Pensacola serves adults 55 and over with several different levels of care including assisted living, memory care for Alzheimer's and dementia, independent living, respite care, hospice, and even short-term stays for those needing recovery help or when caregivers need a break, and folks living there can choose from single, studio, or one-bedroom apartments, even private or shared spaces in the memory care area, with all utilities except telephone and cable included, and wireless personal emergency service for everyone. The place is licensed and has professional trained staff and nurses who stay onsite and available 24 hours a day, which helps families feel a bit more at ease knowing someone's always watching out for their loved ones, and the staff gets specialized memory care training for residents living with dementia. There are several Sodalis Programs for activities, socialization, education, and entertainment every day, so there are many choices to keep busy, plus a full-time Activity Director plans outings, events, and group get-togethers, and there's a concierge onsite to help residents with daily needs. Meals are served restaurant-style three times a day and snacks and drinks are always available, so no one ever has to worry about going hungry, and they offer vegetarian options if needed. Housekeeping happens once a week, laundry for linens and daily bed changes keep things clean, and the building stays tidy, and there's also an on-site beauty salon, a barber, and a spa-like experience for anyone who wants it. The community's pet-friendly, lets residents bring their own pets, and has public indoor and outdoor spaces including walking paths, a covered porch, a gazebo, Florida Room, courtyard, lobby, and a model room to help people get familiar with the layout. There's Wi-Fi, high-speed internet, a dining area, no smoking indoors, and full handicap accessibility for both apartments and public areas, which helps everyone feel comfortable. The memory care part has extra safety features, secure entry and exit, individual plans for both daily living and health needs, and programs aimed at memory support and mental engagement, and the care staff for memory care are onsite around the clock. Medical care includes a podiatrist, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dentist, doctor and nurse on call, and homecare available when needed, plus scheduled rides to medical appointments and shopping twice a month for memory care residents and other personalized transportation as needed. They do onsite religious and devotional services, and let folks choose the gender mix that works for them, and if someone needs hospice, that's available too. The staff gets good marks for being kind, attentive, and personal in their care, and the overall feeling is closer to a family home than a big institution, with enough space so everyone has room but still feels comfortable, so plenty of options for different needs and preferences whether someone wants a quiet life, more activity, or a mix of both.
