    Welcoming community with mixed concerns

I felt welcomed the moment I arrived - staff are friendly, perceptive, and often go above and beyond. The community is beautiful, spotless, and well-laid out with excellent amenities (pools, PT/OT, salons, dining) and a very strong, compassionate memory-care unit. Individuals like Mayte and Lucienne Dorvil stood out for exceptional care. My experience was overwhelmingly positive, though food and staffing quality can be inconsistent, and there are recurring concerns about high fees, aggressive sales tactics and rent increases. Overall I'd recommend it - visit in person and read the contract carefully.

About The Brennity at Tradition Senior Living

The Brennity at Tradition Senior Living sits on 34 peaceful acres in Port St. Lucie, right in the Tradition master-planned community, and you'll notice right off there's a quiet comfort to all the greenery and walking paths, the fishing pond where folks like to cast their lines, and places to sit outdoors, in the shade or the sun, with a screened porch that's good for catching a breeze. The indoor areas feel homey with spaces for groups to gather, talk, and play cards or billiards, and there's a library for reading or just enjoying some quiet. Residents can choose to live in studio apartments, one- or two-bedroom apartment villas, or cottages with kitchens, washers and dryers, and nice finishes, and every home has its own emergency call system, WiFi, and cable, which makes it easy to stay safe and connected. You get a choice of different living options, with Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, so folks can get the right amount of help, whether it's just some meals and housekeeping, or daily care for memory loss, or nurses helping with medication and hygiene, and there's always professional staff around twenty-four hours a day if someone needs something.

There's a big focus on keeping people active and making new friends, from cooking and baking classes to games, music, and arts and crafts-plus you get special events, book clubs, movie nights, and a packed calendar for social and educational activities, so there's rarely a dull day unless you want one. Folks can swim in the indoor or outdoor pool, relax in the hot tub, join a stretch or Tai Chi class, or visit the beauty salon or barber shop without ever leaving the grounds. Religious services happen onsite and offsite, and the Brennity organizes group outings for shopping, dining, and entertainment in the Port St. Lucie area, which is handy because everything's pretty close. Residents can depend on transportation for appointments and errands, and the community has secure parking for cars and guests.

People living here get chef-prepared meals served restaurant-style, and for those who want privacy, there's room service and guest meals, and meal plans are tailored for Assisted Living and Memory Care, including stress-free dining with the Sagora Pathways Dining with G.R.A.C.E program. The Brennity employs a part-time nurse and offers therapies such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy, along with medication reminders, daily living assistance, and health services like hospice care and pharmacy support. Memory Care suites look comfortable, with soft lights and decor that helps create a sense of calm and familiarity, while the Memory Care program includes custom plans for those with Alzheimer's and dementia. The assisted living program supports folks with daily tasks but lets them stay as independent as they wish.

The community has housekeeping, laundry, lawn care, and maintenance handled, so residents can focus on what they like to do, whether it's gardening, using computers in the business center, joining a club, or just relaxing with pets, which are allowed. Safety is a priority, with gated entry and lots of security features throughout the grounds. The Brennity is managed by Sagora Senior Living, which is known for its Resident First philosophy and has a team that tries to make every day a little easier for every resident, whether that's helping with daily needs or organizing activities that everyone can enjoy. The Brennity tries hard to let people keep their independence or get the support they need, and residents can move between Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care as life changes, so they don't have to leave if their needs change over time. There's even access to the PGA Country Club with golf, tennis courts, and a swimming complex. It's a place set up to help seniors stay active, social, safe, and comfortable, and where the days can be as calm or as busy as you like.
