    Warm staff spotless facility recommended

My grandfather loves it - the staff are warm, professional and attentive, the building is spotless and beautifully appointed, and the dining and activities are outstanding. Nursing coverage on all shifts, an extended-care license and an RN executive director (plus solid emergency prep and proximity to Jupiter Medical Center) gave us real peace of mind. A few families mentioned turnover and mixed experiences in memory care, and the cost can be tough on a fixed income. Overall we're very happy and would recommend it.

    About Tequesta Terrace

Tequesta Terrace sits in a quiet spot close to Indian River, Tequesta County Park, and Jupiter Inlet Natural Area, and you'll notice right away it looks like a Mediterranean building with tropical landscaping, so there's a gentle, old Florida charm that's peaceful and comfortable. Residents here can pick between independent living, assisted living, and a memory care program called Brookdale Tequesta Memory Care, meaning people with different needs can stay in one place, and the community supports everything from simple help with chores to skilled nursing and even home health care and respite stays, so there's a lot of flexibility as abilities change. The building is three stories tall and has a boutique feel, so you'll see private studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedroom apartments with private bathrooms, oversized walk-in closets, kitchenettes with wood cabinets, and some even have washers, dryers, and individual climate controls, plus roll-in showers that make it easier to get around. There are inviting spaces everywhere-a piano lounge, a fireside lounge, cozy seating areas with fireplaces, an on-site movie theatre, a library, and bright hallways with comfortable furniture, all decorated in a style that's both elegant and easygoing.

The community allows pets, so you'll see plenty of friendly animals around, and there are lots of organized events, outings, and cultural activities, with weekly housekeeping and laundry so you don't have to worry about chores, and a concierge is always ready to help with doctor's appointments and other needs. The food's prepared by skilled chefs using quality ingredients, and staff can handle special diets, so most folks comment about how much they like the shared meals and the focus on nutrition. Care staff are always nearby, day or night, and they help with bathing, dressing, medication, and incontinence care, and the Memory Care program pays special attention to comfort and routine for folks living with dementia, using an environment that reduces confusion, prevents wandering, and keeps things simple and safe, letting people feel cared for and peaceful. The Extended Congregate Care license means seniors can stay even when they need more help, and Medicaid's accepted for those who qualify, which helps a lot of families. They let people see inside by scheduling tours, so families can get a good sense of daily life, especially the dining, activities, and the different spaces. Tequesta Terrace's been recognized as a verified community by A Place for Mom, so you know they're current on their licensing, and they're known for being clean and well-maintained. The place draws people from Palm Beach and Martin County and seems to put a lot of focus on forming friendships, enjoying leisure time, and letting people stay independent as long as possible, so it works for a wide mix of folks who need a little-or sometimes a lot-of help.
