Angel Care At Vero Beach sits at 1130 7th Ave, right in the heart of Vero Beach, Florida, and is licensed by the state under License #11859, supporting up to 10 residents in a small, comfortable, and close-knit setting, which always seemed to help people settle in a bit easier because there's always someone around to help or talk to, and the staff-friendly and well-trained folks who speak English-stick close and get to know each person, making sure everyone gets help with daily living, whether that's bathing, dressing, transferring, or using the shared spaces in the home. Residents here receive support around the clock, whether they need just a few hours of help a week or full-day and night care, especially if someone's living with conditions like Parkinson's, dementia, or Alzheimer's, and I'll tell you, a place that can handle memory care and board-and-care all in one makes transitions as people age a whole lot easier. The place feels homey and warm, maybe because of the individual touches like garden paths, a well-kept dining room with all-day meal service-including special diets for folks with diabetes or allergies-and comfortable, furnished rooms where you can enjoy some privacy but still be right near the common areas if you feel like joining in. There's always a full-time staff presence and emergency alert systems throughout the building, so family feels good knowing help's available any time, plus there's supervised activities kept up to keep everyone's mind and body moving, from movie nights and devotional gatherings to walks in the garden or outings in the greater Vero Beach area-some days folks just like to sit and talk over a quiet meal, but others enjoy friendly competition or learning something new. The on-site staff, including nurses and caregivers, help with medical and health needs, whether that's medication reminders, incontinence care, or just someone being around for reassurance, and if anything more specialized comes up, they coordinate with area healthcare providers. Residents enjoy laundry, housekeeping, dry cleaning, and even move-in coordination, so families don't have to worry about the little things, and there's always transportation and parking for appointments or visits. Everything's designed to help seniors keep as much independence as possible, while still having assistance and real, genuine attention, and people around here say the staff treats everyone like family, which, from what's been seen, may have something to do with why the community's known for being safe, nurturing, and, above all, kind-even if there aren't any reviews posted yet, the license gets checked every month to make sure standards stay where they need to be, so whatever the day brings, a resident here will get individual care and a chance to live life fully, right in the heart of Vero Beach.
Pleasant care, serious management issues
I have mixed feelings. The place is a small, home-like facility with light, airy private rooms, big windows overlooking a beautiful backyard, excellent meals, one-on-one care, fun activities (dancing, videos for family) and several kind, attentive caregivers - my loved one is happy there. But I also saw untrained and at times rude/unprofessional staff, inconsistent 24-hour coverage, safety and feeding concerns, a rundown exterior, and controlling, retaliatory management (including verbal/physical abuse allegations and threats); new management and upgrades are promising, but I recommend extreme caution-visit often, verify staffing and owners before admitting someone.
