    About Mary's Haven

Mary's Haven sits in a quiet spot in Adel, Georgia, and it's a small place with just six beds, so folks who live there get plenty of attention and care, and it sure feels more like a real home than a big institution, with private or shared rooms, cozy common areas, and pretty gardens, and you'll see some nice touches like a reading room, maybe a hot tub and sauna, fitness space, or even a piano in the corner, so people always have something to do or a spot to sit and visit. The staff helps with bathing, dressing, and grooming, and they're around 24 hours a day for things like medication reminders or help with the bathroom, and they do a good job at keeping up with meals and special diets, whether someone needs low-sugar, low-salt, or allergy-friendly food, and folks eat either in the dining room or sometimes outside when the weather's nice, usually getting three home-cooked meals each day.

Residents can take part in daily activities and games-there's movies, book reading, puzzles, some music and art, or even group events like dance parties and sing-alongs, and every so often there's music therapy, pet visits, and trips out to shop or see the doctor, with transportation all coordinated if needed, and if someone likes to be outdoors, they've got paths to walk, swings, and places for quiet time or group gatherings under the sun. Mary's Haven has both independent and assisted living, plus memory care for folks with Alzheimer's or dementia, and it also gives respite care if a family just needs short-term help, as well as hospice care and skilled nursing, and they work with Veterans Affairs and can offer help with insurance, financial aid, or even home sale assistance, which is good for families sorting things out.

They keep the community clean with regular laundry, dry cleaning, and housekeeping, and each room comes furnished, but people can bring some favorite things from home if they like, and for grooming, a mobile barber or hairdresser comes in, so everyone gets a chance for a haircut or trim. Emergency alert systems are in place throughout the home, and staff help with medication and transfers, so safety is looked after, and everyone's care plan is customized so support matches each person's needs. There's activities in the evenings and field trips sometimes, and the environment stays quiet and respectful, with plenty of chances for hobbies, music or art, group meals, and relaxing outdoors. English is spoken by the staff, and residents over 65 are welcome, whether they're pretty independent or need more help with daily routines. All services are paid for by check or credit card, and some things might be part of the basic fee or offered at extra cost, but families can tour the home and get a good sense of whether it's a good fit for their loved one.
