    Assisted living good; memory awful

I have mixed feelings. The assisted-living side was clean, comfortable and the caregiving staff were warm, attentive and treated my mom like family - I would recommend that side. However, memory care was a different story: chronic understaffing, high turnover, poor communication, billing/management problems, medication errors and safety/neglect concerns led me to move her out after a short, traumatic stay. Food, activities and weekend services were inconsistent, and admin was often unhelpful or unprofessional. Beautiful facility and some wonderful staff, but serious management and memory-care failures - buyer beware.
