    Attentive staff and comfortable home

I moved my father here after rehab and the director and staff were incredibly helpful, kept me in the loop, and provided personalized, professional care. The small, homey Victorian is clean and well-maintained - bright, roomy rooms (some with balconies), lovely landscaping, and a nice dining area with much better food than his previous place. There are lots of activities (exercise, arts & crafts, outings, church), a family-like atmosphere, and on-site medical and facilities leadership who are attentive. I highly recommend this place.

    About Country Gardens Senior Living

Country Gardens Senior Living sits on a quiet, three-acre property with big trees all around, and the building itself looks like a grand Victorian home, so right from the start, there's a nice, homey feel that keeps things calm, and it's the sort of place where you'll see a covered porch, a cupola on the roof, pretty gardens with all kinds of colorful flowers, and spots you can sit in the fresh air on patios and balconies, which a lot of folks appreciate. The staff includes Certified Medical Aides and Certified Nurses Aides, and they're there twenty-four hours a day to help with all sorts of daily needs-things like helping people get dressed, take their medicine, bathe, or move around, and custom care plans are common, so each person gets attention in the way they need, whether they're more independent or need skilled nursing or memory care, which they call The Retreat Memory Care.

The community offers a choice of private and companion-style suites, with options like cozy studios or larger one- and two-bedroom layouts, plus most have kitchenettes, private bathrooms, and emergency call systems, so there's a bit of freedom and a good sense of safety, and people can bring their own furniture if they want or take a furnished room. The whole place has free Wi-Fi and high-speed internet, and residents have phones in their rooms, so keeping in touch is easy. Country Gardens is also pet-friendly, letting folks bring their animals, which helps a lot of people feel more at home, and there's a good amount of parking.

For meals, everyone gets three home-cooked, restaurant-style meals each day, made by chefs who plan for healthy balance and special diets, so if someone has to avoid gluten, sugar, or salt, or wants vegan food, that's not a problem, and if you don't want to join others, there's room service and even guest meal options for when family comes by. There are dining rooms with big windows, fireplaces in some common areas, and spots like lounges, a library, craft rooms, and a game room for folks to relax or join in whatever's on the calendar. Activities, both social and recreational, run every month and include crafts, games, outings around town, and sometimes devotional or spiritual services, so people have ways to keep busy, meet friends, and keep their minds working-plus, the community has its own beauty and barber salon, walking paths, arts areas, and transportation for shopping or appointments when needed.

Country Gardens has a system that keeps people's safety in mind, like the emergency alert buttons and regular checks, and staff get ongoing training, especially for memory care, to really understand what each person might need if they're dealing with dementia or mild cognitive issues. The place can also help with laundry, housekeeping, dry cleaning, and move-in planning if someone needs extra help making the change, and there are always people on hand to assist with activities of daily living and things like medication management. There's an on-site therapy team, podiatry visits, hospice and aging-in-place options, and support for stays as short or as long as somebody needs, with no minimums. They also provide independent living homes for active seniors and shared care homes for those looking for a smaller neighborhood feel with live-in caregivers.

That community gets awards for being friendly and providing good care, and with a community score of 7.3 from Seniorly's ranking, folks can see that while it covers most needs for senior living-including Personal Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing-it may not be everything to everybody, but it covers most things you'd need all on one campus, and it maintains a steady focus on letting folks live with dignity, independence, and purpose for as long as possible.
