    Compassionate staff, spotless facility, concerns

I felt welcomed from day one - staff were compassionate, friendly and personal, called my loved one by name, kept her clean, and the facility was spotless with delicious chef-made meals and a strong activities calendar. The memory-care transition was handled well and the lower cost felt like good value. Lately administration changes and staff turnover hurt quality: dining service became a mess, care was sometimes denied, I was misled by an administrator, and there were safety/management lapses (dogs loose, no after-hours access, few evenings/weekend activities). Overall I recommend Serenity for its caring staff, clean facility and food, but watch for recent management/staff issues.

    About Serenity

Serenity is a senior living community that offers a wide range of care types like assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing home care, and continuing care retirement community services, all under one roof, and the Royce Elliott Memory Care stands out as a unique feature for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's, which helps provide a secure and caring place for those who need it most. The building has several different floor plans, with apartments that include residence kitchens, and folks can pick a unit that works for them and rent month-to-month, which gives a bit of flexibility. The community likes to keep things social and active, so there's always a full schedule of activities, events, and outings, plus a theater for entertainment, and plenty of outdoor patios and balconies where residents can get fresh air or visit with friends.

Serenity's staff, chosen for their compassion and cheerfulness, are around 24 hours a day to help with bathing, dressing, medication management, housekeeping, and meals, and there's a nurse on-site at all times, day and night, so if someone's needs change, the team can adjust care levels and even arrange for therapy like physical, speech, or occupational therapy without any hassle. The home care aides offer non-medical help and companionship for folks who'd rather stay in their apartments, and there's a focus on keeping people as independent as they can be, but not letting them struggle alone, whether someone needs incontinence care, help with diabetes, or managing medicines. The dining options are always available, and cleanliness, safety, and comfort are high priorities.

The facility is locally owned and managed by Randall Residence, a Christian, family-owned business, and they do encourage family involvement and work closely with local healthcare providers to keep everyone as healthy as possible. Serenity makes sure care plans are personalized based on each person's needs and abilities, with memory care services that are carefully designed to prevent wandering and reduce confusion, and the staff put effort into cognitive activities to keep minds sharp. Activities change often and are meant to keep people physically and mentally engaged, and every resident is given chances to socialize, whether it's through organized events or simple neighborhood chats on the patios. The main goal at Serenity is to help every resident enjoy a good quality of life in a place that's warm, inviting, and thoughtfully put together for older adults.
