    Caring staff, clean facility, satisfied

I don't see the highlights you mentioned - could you paste them? Meanwhile, here's a terse first-person example you can use or adapt: I placed my mother here and have been pleased with the caring staff and clean, safe facility. Meals are decent and activities keep her engaged; communication and billing can be slow, and it's on the pricier side, but overall I'm satisfied with her care.

    About The Highland Home

The Highland Home sits in a quiet, park-like setting in Illinois, close to parks, pharmacies, doctors' offices, hospitals, restaurants, and places of worship, so folks can find what they need nearby but also get some peace around the grounds, and this place has been serving seniors since 1912, which means there's a real history to the care here. Residents will find a range of options, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term skilled nursing, and short-term respite stays, so it fits for those who need some help and for those who like to handle most things themselves, and folks can feel safe with services like medication management, cardiac care, and even visits from psychiatry staff. There's transportation both at cost and complimentary, and the community sits close to public transit, with parking available for those who drive. Each apartment has safety and handicap features, private baths with tubs, in-room kitchenettes, and there's regular maid and laundry service-including dry cleaning-so daily chores can be taken care of, plus maintenance and utilities included, which helps keep things simple.

The Highland Home has extras like manicured lawns, a sun room, outdoor and indoor common spaces for socializing, a library, TV lounge, billiards lounge, a meeting room, and a computer room, and there's Wi-Fi throughout so folks can stay connected or use Facebook and Messenger, and even get on Meta platforms. Meals come three times a day, with nutritious, well-prepared food, and guest meals are offered, too. The staff puts on regular activities-bingo, reading clubs, arts and crafts, exercise every day, plus special events like picnics, BBQs, birthday and holiday celebrations, and live music-so there's nearly always something going on, and folks can take part in devotional or spiritual activities, with both Catholic and Protestant services held on-site. For a bit of pampering, there's an on-site beautician with a barber shop. There's housekeeping, lawn care, entertainment at no extra cost, health services for those who need more support, and outreach and education for families, too. The Highland Home offers support without feeling like a facility-more like a real home where people can live comfortably and safely, and it's been awarded 4.7 out of 5 based on a small set of reviews, which says most people think well of the place.
