    About Independence Village Of Peoria

Independence Village Of Peoria - CLOSED, which became part of the Dial Senior Living group and was acquired by Inland Private Capital Corporation in December 2019, used to offer a wide range of care levels for seniors, including independent living, assisted living, memory care for people with dementia or Alzheimer's, and adult day care, along with nursing, rehab, and home health services. The facility had 159 units and was set up to let seniors age in place, so residents could get more help as their needs changed. Apartments included studio options and two-bedroom layouts, with private bathrooms, walk-in closets, kitchenettes, furnishings, and large windows for plenty of natural light, with emergency call systems and intercoms to help keep everyone safe. Residents got help with things like bathing, dressing, medication management, mobility transfers, and daily activities, or could stay in independent units if they didn't need daily support. There were also specialized programs and secured spaces for memory care, featuring activities and therapies for those with cognitive challenges. The staff, often called caring and highly reviewed, provided 24-hour supervision and responded to a 24-hour call system, aiming to build friendships with residents and maintain a safe, friendly atmosphere.

Meals were served restaurant-style in a large, elegant dining room, and residents could choose from all-day dining options, with accommodations for special diets, allergies, or diabetes, and there was a community kitchen for group events. Housekeeping, laundry, and linen services were included, and rooms came fully furnished, along with telephones and WiFi for easy communication. Spaces for socializing were a big focus, with amenities like a well-stocked library, community room for cards or billiards, fitness area, arts room, game room, and an auditorium or movie theater for movie nights and entertainment. Residents and their pets could spend time in outdoor spots like walking paths, a courtyard, and a garden. There were on-site devotional services, a beauty/barber shop, meditation and fellowship spaces, plus transportation was arranged for doctors' visits, shopping, and other appointments.

The facility put effort into offering scheduled daily events, arts programs, and community-sponsored activities to keep people active, social, and connected, and offered respite care for short stays. Floor plans and features were designed for comfort and accessibility, with elevators, covered parking, and property management on site. Coordinated healthcare meant residents and their families could get help arranging medical appointments and medication support without a hassle. Emergency alert systems were set up throughout the property. The community described itself as pet-friendly, respectful, and focused on serving residents' needs with a sense of belonging. Although Independence Village Of Peoria provided these services and amenities before, it's now closed and no longer offers any of the listed services, features, or accommodations.
