    Compassionate staff beautiful home environment

I'm so thankful we chose Carriage Crossing - the staff truly care, know residents by name, and treated my mom with compassion so she's happier and thriving. The community is beautiful, clean and home-like with excellent food, daily activities, responsive administration, and I highly recommend it.

    About The Carriages of Rochester

The Carriages of Rochester sits right off Interstate 55 and Route 29, just outside Springfield, IL, and offers different living choices for seniors like independent living cottages, assisted living apartments, and specialized memory care services for those dealing with dementia or Alzheimer's, and it covers temporary needs through expert respite care too, all across a friendly and welcoming campus where folks can feel at home with their pets, as the place is pet-friendly and makes sure the whole campus is easy to move around for people needing handicap accessibility. The facility has both studio and one-bedroom apartments with private bathrooms, modern kitchenettes, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable TV, emergency alert systems in each unit, and lots of closet space, plus furnished rooms for easy move-in, and folks get move-in support if needed, while caregivers speak English and help out 24/7, including medication management and personal care like bathing, dressing, and daily routines, all under supervision and with a comprehensive medication management system that keeps safety a focus.

Meals come prepared by a professional chef, and there's a choice between restaurant-style dining, all-day dining, communal dining, beverages, and even both casual and fine settings, with menus that take care of dietary needs including diabetes and allergy restrictions, and snacks are always ready so no one goes hungry. A dietary nutrition specialist is available, and catering services can handle special events. Staff are licensed or certified, with a nurse on staff part-time, and flexible staffing helps ensure residents' needs are met, with non-ambulatory care available for those who need extra support getting around or with transfers.

Residents can use laundry, dry cleaning, and housekeeping services, and transportation options run all day-there's general, accessible, and chauffeured transportation, with parking for those who drive, and the front desk concierge can help arrange rides or coordinate doctor visits. Inside, there's a game room, library, movie theater, music programs, a community theater for shows, an on-site bistro, a cafe and soda shop, activity rooms for arts and crafts, music, or education, a salon/barber and spa area with hot tub, a fitness room with wellness programs, and a sauna, plus organized outings, religious spaces, and lots of space for social events and daily planned activities, which keep everyone active and engaged. The campus has walking paths, a fishing pond, courtyards, gardens, and areas for sitting outside, with outings and health-focused programs running regularly, covering everything from memory retention activities in the memory care area to intergenerational and cultural events throughout the week.

Safety is built in with controlled building access, an emergency response system, and personal medical alert features, keeping the community secure at all hours. Residents can enjoy activities, meals, and outings with others but have privacy and independence in their apartments, choosing their level of support and activity, and Ms. Kelley Tierney, the Community Relations Director, helps introduce new folks to the community and coordinates with Carriage Crossing for care and services. The fee structure includes an entry fee of $1500 and, with the state license number 5108060, families know the place meets Illinois standards. The Carriages of Rochester balances comfort and care, focusing on helping each person live the kind of life they choose with a range of housing, support, and plenty of activities, whether you need a little help, full-time care, or just want to enjoy retirement in a warm and active setting near Springfield.
