    Welcoming staff, clean, minor issues

I toured this nice community and found the staff welcoming, helpful, and communicative - the application/public-aid and contract process was smooth. The main home was clean and bright, though the older building wasn't as tidy and my tour guide couldn't answer all my questions. Transportation to church, a fitness center, and the shops on the square is important to me, and I did notice security could be improved. It's not the best fit for me personally, but I would recommend families tour it.

    About Supportive Living of Washington

Supportive Living of Washington sits in Washington, Illinois, and offers different kinds of housing and care for older adults who want choices and peace of mind, so if someone's looking for a place with a mix of options, this one has independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing under long-term care all on the same campus, which folks often find handy when their needs change as they get older. The independent living choices include Garden Villas and Senior Apartments, and there are Supportive Living Apartments if people need more help, with things like laundry, meals, and cleaning part of the package, along with small house assisted living setups that feel less like a facility and more like a home, which can make the days easier and a bit warmer. Residents can bring a pet, choose from different floor plans, and pick either single or semi-private rooms, and the pricing is all-inclusive, though there's an entry fee to start.

Grace Point offers short-term rehab for folks coming back from a hospital stay, and licensed nurses keep an eye on everyone's health around the clock, plus they work with visiting healthcare professionals-so whether it's medication support, pharmacy help, daily health monitoring, or just getting to an appointment with the shuttle service, it's all part of the daily routine here. The community accepts adults 55 and older and has support for those needing Alzheimer's or memory care services, while allowing people to live as independently as they want with staff on hand when needed, and personal care plans that change with each person's needs. The staff are known for being friendly, joyful, and kind, and the place itself is tied closely to local churches and the wider community, helping folks stay connected and have purpose.

Meals are home-cooked, served in a dining room, and there's a private room for special events, plus a salad cart for lunch and dinner, a drink station, and snacks set out all day, so people never have to worry about getting hungry or thirsty. Activities run all week, with entertainers coming in, regular fitness sessions, crafts, movie nights, Bible studies, bingo, offsite trips, and even Senior Learning Network programs, so residents can keep busy, keep moving, and keep their minds sharp. The building has an outdoor courtyard and garden, a community movie room, and a barber and beauty shop. Safety is important, too, with alert pendants and pull stations, along with handicap access and internet for those who like to stay connected.

Supportive Living of Washington is faith-based and run by Christian Horizons, which manages other places in Illinois and nearby states, so folks often trust the setup and know the standards are steady, but the team always tries to help families compare options to make the choices that fit best, even if that sometimes means recommending another community nearby. Reviews from residents and their families often mention how open and supportive the place feels, and the way people can keep living life their way, with as much help as they want and space to stay active, social, and comfortable.
