Caring staff, homey, kitchen concerns
I toured this facility and felt welcomed - the executive director greeted me and my tour guide Ciera was excellent. Staff (administrator Laurie, RN Sheila, activity planner Amber) were warm, professional, and treated residents like family; the place is clean, homey and being updated despite an older layout. Care was compassionate and seamless for medications, activities are engaging, and staff-resident interactions are strong. The kitchen needs major improvement - vegetables often overcooked to mush, meats dry and hard, bland rice and limited bread options. My experience was largely positive, but I also heard isolated reports of miscommunication and serious medical lapses, so I recommend asking about clinical protocols. Overall, I would recommend this facility for its caring team and comfortable environment.
