    Caring professional rehab clean homelike

I placed my loved one here and was consistently impressed - the staff are caring, attentive and professional, therapy is top-notch (private rehab suites and gym), and the facility feels clean, home-like with daily activities and great communication. She recovered well, was treated like family, and I had real peace of mind - I highly recommend for rehab or long-term care. A few reviewers noted occasional cleanliness/staffing or memory-care concerns, so verify specifics if that's your primary need.

About Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center

Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center serves as a continuing care retirement community owned by the city or county, and it's been around for quite a while, offering Medicare and Medicaid for those who need it, with 115 certified beds and about 98 residents calling it home lately. The place has all the required sprinkler systems, nurses and care staff on hand day and night, and a resident and family council so people can have a say in things. You're looking at a facility that covers skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and memory care, aiming to help folks get back on their feet or settle in if they need longer care. There are specialized programs for memory loss, Alzheimer's, and dementia, including a separate and secure area for people who need extra memory support, along with therapy options like physical, occupational, and speech therapy for residents looking to recover after illness or surgery.

Now, staffing levels show some attention to care with a reported nurse staffing hours per resident per day at about 4.2 hours, and adjusted numbers shadowing that at 3.8 hours, with certified nursing assistants putting in most of the time, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses covering their share, though registered nurse time runs a bit below expected. Ratings across the board sit at 4 for overall, health inspection, staffing, and quality measures, and though there have been some health deficiencies over inspection cycles-most recently 9, including 1 from a complaint-the scores tend to show things are up to standard. As a Special Focus Facility, the center is under extra watch due to past problems, but it states a commitment to improvement and developing its staff.

The community covers a few lifestyle needs, with areas for Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Rehabilitation, and there's long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, respite, palliative, and hospice care, plus social services and counseling for residents and their families. People can expect amenities focused on comfort and recovery, meals, activities, and programs aimed at keeping spirits up and folks involved. Homeview claims a strong reputation locally for care and tries to involve the surrounding community as much as it can. The place is built around a patient-centered approach, looking at each person's needs, and there's a stress on making things comfortable and respectful for every resident, so whether someone needs just a bit of help getting better or full-time care for more complex issues, they aim to cover that under one roof.
