Saint Anne - Victory Noll has been a significant presence in the Huntington community as a healthcare and retirement center. Operated as a Christian facility and a service of the diocese, the community provided comprehensive care and support for both retired sisters and local seniors since its opening in 2017. The center was established on the peaceful grounds of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters, a Catholic organization renowned for its commitment to hospitality, justice, simplicity, and adaptability. The inception of Saint Anne - Victory Noll aimed to create a nurturing environment for retired sisters as well as seniors from Huntington County, bringing together individuals who shared a desire for thoughtful, faith-based living and compassionate care.
Residents of Saint Anne - Victory Noll benefitted from a range of personalized amenities and services. Individualized care plans were designed for each resident, ensuring that unique health and wellness needs were met. Around-the-clock emergency assistance was always available for peace of mind. The community also made it convenient for residents to access medical care by providing transportation to medical appointments. Spiritual needs were attentively addressed, with Catholic Mass regularly celebrated on site. Prayer rooms and a tranquil prayer garden invited moments of reflection, community worship, and personal solace, reinforcing the home’s spiritual foundation.
Over time, the center became a haven for both sisters and lay residents, cultivating an inclusive community. At the time of its closure, Saint Anne - Victory Noll was home to 12 sisters from the founding missionary organization as well as 14 lay residents. Efforts were made to ensure that, following the decision to close the location, all residents would find suitable new living arrangements. For the sisters, options were being explored that would allow them to continue living together in a supportive environment, while the lay residents were offered new homes in another community. Throughout its operation, Saint Anne - Victory Noll dedicated itself to providing compassionate service, dignity, and a sense of belonging to all who called it home.
With the healthcare landscape evolving and in response to financial challenges, particularly those exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was made to close Saint Anne - Victory Noll. The closure was approached with sensitivity, prioritizing the well-being of residents and the 48 employees affected. In the process of selling the Victory Noll property, preference was given to buyers with community-focused missions, reflecting the values and legacy of the home. Despite its closure, the memory of Saint Anne - Victory Noll lives on in the lives it touched and the community it served, remaining a testament to its enduring mission of service and care.
