Beautiful, clean facility - verify licensing

I toured this beautiful, clean facility and was impressed - friendly, caring staff, great food, nice apartments, warm family atmosphere and plenty of activities that made residents seem happy. However, after a stroke before move-in I learned they weren't licensed for my level of care; I also noticed understaffing, unresponsive management at times, restricted visitors/calls and security worries, plus billing issues and even reports of a legal dispute - so I'd recommend it for many but verify licensing, security and billing before committing.

    About Miller's Senior Living Community

Miller's Senior Living Community sits in Mooresville, IN, and covers a wide range of needs from independent living to full nursing care, so people can get help for almost any stage of aging, and one thing folks seem to notice right away is all the technology features, including senior-friendly internet plans, cable options, special cell phones, resources for hearing aids, and even help with medical alert systems, home security, and medication dispensers, and there are guides for things like Bay Alarm Medical, Medical Guardian, and ADT if someone wants to look over choices. The community supports aging in place with home care, caregiver support, and rides for seniors, so people who want to stay living at home as long as they can get help with that. There are different places to live, including independent living, senior apartments, condos, and townhomes, along with assisted living, memory care, companion care, and even nursing homes for those who need more help or medical care, and you'll find daily personal care, medication management, and wellness checks. Folks enjoy a range of social opportunities with events, happy hours, and outings; the fitness center, the Living Well Fitness club, and walking trails keep people active; there's an on-site library, courtyard, garden, beauty/barber shop, and religious services, and for hobbies and downtime, movie and game nights give people something to look forward to. The dining options include anytime dining, restaurant-style meals, room service, and guests can even join in, and for people dealing with healthcare issues, there's diabetic care, incontinence support, and non-ambulatory care, plus skilled nursing, therapies like occupational, speech, physical, and even advanced or aquatic therapy with a heated pool for comfort. There are 58 assisted living apartments, with private or shared options for short-term rehab or longer stays, with choices like two-bedroom, one-bedroom, and studio layouts, all with things like kitchenettes and wheelchair accessible showers, and plenty of room plans. The senior community is 100% employee-owned so everyone working there has a stake in running the place, and for ease, there's parking, computer and internet access, wheelchair-accessible van services, and weekly housekeeping and laundry. Community security runs 24 hours, and for people worried about things like ID theft, there are security resources tailored for seniors, and living here can be flexible to fit a range of needs from companion care up to hospice or adult day care, so folks can stay for a while or just for short-term relief for their caregivers. For those looking to connect online, there are Meta services and social logins like Facebook and Messenger, and all of these amenities and features are paired with daily life supports and resort-style touches, while specialized services focus on memory care with safe areas and activities for those needing help remembering. Accommodations come with things like air conditioning and wheelchair-accessible vans, and help is there day and night for medication, meals, therapy, and especially for people who want something steady, social, and safe as they age.
