    About Heritage Assisted Living

Heritage Assisted Living, also known as Heritage Retirement Village or Heritage Assisted Living Yorktown, sits near the White River Greenway Trail and Morrow's Meadow, so people who like getting outside have places to walk or just enjoy the fresh air. The community offers studio apartments, all on a single story, with room sizes between 184 and 213 square feet, and some apartments have private patios or outdoor spaces, plenty of natural light, and handy things like a bathroom and a mini fridge, and folks can have a pet with them since it's pet friendly. You'll find several inside common areas where residents can visit, read, or watch TV, plus a recreation room, arts and crafts area, and an area where a resident musical group practices.

Staff and personal aides give help with everyday tasks like showering, dressing, and using the restroom, and they keep a close eye on medical needs, offering medication management, incontinence care, diabetic care, and home nurse care, and there's skilled nursing and 24-hour health care. The memory care neighborhood is built to keep people with dementia or Alzheimer's safe and respected, with programs focused on each person's emotional well-being and interests. There's also respite care, so someone recovering from a hospital stay can live there short term.

Meals are provided, with restaurant-style cooking and nutritious options. Community dining lets folks enjoy meals together, and kitchenettes in resident rooms help with snacks or light cooking. Clean linens, laundry, housekeeping, and even dry cleaning are all done on-site, so chores don't pile up, and there's a beauty and barber shop for haircuts. WiFi and cable are provided, and there's plenty of room for guest and resident parking.

An activities director shapes the schedule around what residents like to do, so every month is a bit different with outings, fitness and recreation, story times, game nights, and a book discussion club. There are regular trips to local stores or community events, as well as offsite activities. You'll see church services, Bible study, spiritual support, and even lectures or educational talks on topics like health, nutrition, or Veterans' Aid & Attendance. Programs in the Life Enrichment calendar blend physical, mental, social, and emotional activities into each day, and activities are meant to support both mind and body.

Heritage Assisted Living has an all-inclusive pricing structure and accepts adults aged 55 and over. Privacy and security are priorities, with supervision around the clock, locked records, and a safe building. Staff are known for their kindness and compassion, and the overall goal is to make the setting comfortable, help people stay as independent as possible, and provide care that fits each person's unique needs. The community welcomes people who want support with daily living, an active lifestyle, and a place that tries to make every day a bit brighter and more meaningful.
