    About Regency Retirement Residence

Regency Retirement Residence sits on the north side of Highway 34 in Red Oak, right by the Red Oak Walking and Bike Trails and near the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital and Red Coach Inn, which means folks have an easy time getting to local attractions and places like city parks or the outdoor pool, and the Riverfront Trails are close by too, so people here can get fresh air, take a stroll, or just sit and relax in the landscaped outdoor patios where the flowers always seem to bloom. The place was built with seniors in mind, offering one and two-bedroom barrier-free apartments, all designed to be comfortable with things like full-sized kitchen appliances, attached garages, soundproofing, fire safety features, energy-efficient construction, carpet and no-wax vinyl floors, and spacious closets and storage areas so there's room for everything while staying safe and at ease. Even though apartments don't have laundry machines inside, residents can use the washers and dryers in the building and for family get-togethers, the community room's free for residents to use, which makes life a bit easier. There're only 15 apartments, which keeps things quieter and gives a sense of close community.

The staff at Regency Retirement Residence are known for being kind and helpful, they do their best to make everyone feel welcome, and there's a secure entrance system and a personal emergency system in each apartment, which adds to the peace of mind so residents don't have to worry much about safety. The activity committee works hard to keep people connected and busy, with social activities like Wednesday movie nights, coffee gatherings, or playing cards, dominoes, and bingo, plus the committee organizes monthly outings when the weather's right, making it easy to spend time with new friends, laugh, or just get to know folks better. The community supports everyone's well-being, offering devotional activities for spiritual needs and a space to have conversations over a cup of coffee in the common areas, which really helps make the place feel like home.

Regency Retirement Residence takes care in providing different types of support, with independent living for seniors 55 and older who can live on their own, and assisted living for those who may need a hand with bathing or getting dressed, as well as home care services if someone prefers to stay where they are with help from trained aides offering companionship or non-medical care. There's also memory care for people facing Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, adult day care for those who need it, and some nursing and rehab services. Nutritious meals are planned with help from chefs, planned for a good balanced diet, using decent ingredients, and there's special support for residents with needs like diabetic or incontinence care and even non-ambulatory care.

The apartments are available now and are connected to a supportive community which values activity, social time, and neighborly connection, all guided by a nonprofit mission focused on neighborhood development and making sure seniors always have a comfortable place to call home. All of this is meant to encourage as much independence as possible, while giving the right level of care and some friendly faces who know what matters most is feeling safe, active, and included.
