    Warm professional staff, homey community

I moved my mom to Vintage Park of Gardner and we're very pleased - the administrator and staff are warm, professional, and take time to know residents and families. Caregivers are kind, patient, and responsive (meds and staff-assisted care handled reliably), and the community truly feels like one big, caring family. The building is clean, well-maintained and homey; our one-bedroom with kitchenette, private bath and large closet was delightful and even cat-friendly. Food and dining are excellent, and the activities director keeps residents engaged with bingo, book club, exercise and movie nights. It's affordable, peaceful, and I highly recommend it for anyone needing compassionate, attentive senior care.

    About Vintage Park at Gardner

Vintage Park at Gardner sits at 869 Juniper Terrace in Gardner, Kansas, and it's a small, friendly senior living community with a family-like feeling, where staff and residents seem to know each other well and people feel at home, which is something you don't always find. The place offers several types of care, like independent living if you don't need help, assisted living for folks who need help with things like dressing and bathing, a memory care section for those living with Alzheimer's or dementia, and even skilled nursing services for higher care needs, so you can get more care right there without moving. The place is licensed with the state under license number N046055 and recognized with awards like Best Assisted Living in Kansas for 2024, along with Resident Satisfaction Five Star Award and some US News & World Report recognition, and the staff seems to take a lot of pride in that.

You'll see it's a one-story building that's easy to get around, offering studio apartments in styles such as Vintage Suite, Sunflower, and Plaza Suite, ranging from about 330 to 410 square feet, with both private and semi-private setups, and all of them have kitchenettes, cable and satellite TV, free WiFi, and some are wired for the internet, so folks can keep up with family and friends or the news, and, well, the rooms are reasonably spacious and you can bring your own things to make it feel more like your own place. The setting has a pleasant country feel with rustic charm and outdoor spaces, like a courtyard, front patio, outdoor patios, gardens, and even a spot for pets since the place welcomes pets, and you don't always see that everywhere for seniors.

They run a whole range of activities, from monthly outings, community-sponsored events, and resident-run groups, to big happenings like senior proms or kick ball tournaments, part of their "Vibrant Living Program," which keeps people engaged socially, physically, and mentally with things that bring purpose and curiosity. You'll find a recreation room, entertainment areas inside, a robust calendar for fitness and wellness, and the option to get your haircut on-site at the salon or barber.

Dining is handled through what they call Graceful Dining™, which means meals come out restaurant-style with nutritious, quality ingredients, served in a shared dining area, and your friends and family can even join at mealtimes or overnight, since the place allows guests. There's an all-inclusive rent model, with laundry, housekeeping, linen service, and maintenance all rolled in, so folks don't have to worry over a pile of bills or chores, and if you need a break, they offer Graceful Respite Stays for short-term care.

There are nurses on staff part-time, specialized caregivers, and help around the clock for those who need it, along with 24-hour supervision, call system for emergencies, and medication management with reminders. The building's equipped with on-site pharmacy, and services like skilled nursing and hospice are available for those who require more advanced help, plus transportation to shopping or appointments, and parking for both residents and guests.

This place takes pride in welcoming folks from Gardner itself and nearby towns like Baldwin City, Lawrence, Wellsville, Eudora, and Overbrook, looking to make life easier for adults over 55, including veterans, who can ask about benefits, and those looking for anything from a lively independent lifestyle to extra help with everyday needs. Apartments come in a couple of sizes and layouts, with easy access and offers like virtual tours if you'd rather look around from home first.

Vintage Park at Gardner belongs to the Grace Management family of communities and gets verified by Seniorly for quality, so the focus is on both safety and community, and staff aim for a warm, welcoming, and engaging place, balancing personal care and freedom, all while letting you settle in for the long run or just for a short stay if that's what's needed, and there's a sense of belonging where neighbors become friends and memories get made daily.
