    Caring small community, mostly excellent

I had a very positive experience at Vintage Park Stanley - the staff are kind, attentive, and many long-tenured nurses provided excellent, even life-saving, care; the director and management were supportive and communicative. The facility is clean, bright, well-kept with large rooms and great food, and there are activities, outings, and a daily exercise class (meal reminders were helpful). Note some limits: participation can be low for homebound residents, there were occasional concerns about dementia-appropriate meals and incontinence cleanliness, and weekend staffing and certain room access (stairs; elevator limits in emergencies) could be problematic. Overall I would recommend it for families seeking a small, close-knit, caring community - just confirm room accessibility and weekend coverage for your needs.
