    Small homey setting, caring staff

I'm so glad we chose this small, family-style home (about 14-15 residents) - it's clean, homey, with large common areas and outdoor patios, home-cooked meals, and plenty of activities. The staff are warm, attentive and gave my parent one-on-one help with dressing, meals and personal care, which gave us real peace of mind. It's affordable and I highly recommend it, though rooms are small and not luxurious.

About Hometown Manor Assisted Living Community

Hometown Manor Assisted Living Community in Georgetown, Kentucky, gives seniors a calm place to live where help's there when needed but everybody can make their own choices about the care and support they want, so folks can keep their independence but know someone's always around. Residents pick their level of care, from independent living to memory care and dementia services, and there are always caregivers for those who need extra help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders, so those who might need more support can still feel at home. The staff stays around the clock and takes care of chores like cleaning, laundry, and even deep cleaning, and the meals come from a home-style open kitchen with group dining that feels a lot like gathering with family. The small setting has only 15 rooms, including some new, larger rooms, so it feels less like an institution and more like a big house, and there are personal touches like a covered deck and raised garden beds out back for when the weather's good.

The place is licensed as a senior care center and follows Kentucky state rules about safety and staffing, and there are nurses, housekeeper cooks, home care aides, and special resources for things like hearing aids and senior internet and phone plans, and safety comes first with features like sprinklers, walk-in tubs, wheelchair help, safety rails, handicap access, and a medical alert system. They offer transportation, activities like arts and crafts and wellness programs, and there's a game room, fitness center, and salon/barbershop right on site. Residents have choices in living arrangements, with independent, assisted, respite, and memory care all under one roof, and the atmosphere is friendly and home-like, with dedicated caregivers who get to know each resident personally and work hard to make sure people feel safe and cared for. Hometown Manor offers long-term care insurance options, medication management, wound care, podiatry, and occupational therapy too, and the focus always stays on treating people like family, giving honest, reliable care, and making sure everyone stays as active and social as they want, whether that means chatting on the covered porch or joining a group activity inside.
