    Exceptional care, loving staff, homelike

I placed my mother here and couldn't be happier. The beautiful, well-kept facility and grounds feel like home, with delicious home-cooked meals and regular outings, activities, and family events. The staff are loving, respectful, and go above and beyond - the care is exceptional and far better than other places we've seen.

    About Oakmont Estates

Oakmont Estates sits in Mansura, a small and close community in central Louisiana, and the whole place feels warm and welcoming, with a homelike look both inside and out, so folks settling in will notice that the staff, including the Executive Director, Executive Director of Nursing, HR & Resident Activity Coordinator, and CFO, greet residents by name and keep things running smoothly, which helps everyone feel noticed. The team stays on site 24 hours a day and there's always someone available for emergencies, with a call system for extra peace of mind, and staff help with baths, dressing, and moving between beds and wheelchairs if someone needs a hand, which is a comfort for many. The team helps keep residents healthy by offering insulin monitoring, help with medications, and can coordinate with doctors, especially since the community is close to hospitals, clinics, and doctors' offices.

Oakmont Estates is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), and that means there's different levels of senior care, plus specialized help for those who need more attention, therapy, or rehabilitation-a big thing for folks who may need more support as time goes by. Staff also help with laundry, housekeeping, and move-in coordination, and there's a dining room with all-day dining so everyone gets to eat when they want, with accommodation for special diets. The private rooms come furnished and include amenities like telephones so residents can reach out to family and friends, plus there are furnished indoor common spaces, which makes the building feel more like a big home than an institution. The Emmanuel Chapel sits on site, giving a calm place for mass, saying the rosary, or just quiet moments by yourself, so anyone who wants spiritual time has that opportunity.

Social life stays active at Oakmont Estates, since the community sponsors events and offers resident-run activities too, and there's a full schedule of activities like movie nights and exercise groups that get people moving and talking together, which means residents have real chances to make friends or just pass the afternoon together without pressure. Outdoor walking paths and a garden give everyone a spot for fresh air and for getting outside during nice weather. There's an on-site barber and salon, which lets folks keep up with haircuts without going far, and the chapel is there for anyone who wants a church service or a little peace.

Residents get daily support for tasks like transferring, bathing, and medication, with staff focusing on providing comfort and treating everyone with kindness and dignity, so families know their loved ones are in good hands. Programs here aim to help residents keep up a high quality of life, and all the amenities, from meal service to laundry, help create a comfortable setting similar to what you'd want in your own home, all with staff on hand to lend a hand and check in with each person throughout the day.
