PSL Services’ Wall Street Program is a supportive living housing complex located in Portland, designed to provide residential support for adults experiencing diagnosed chronic major mental illness and who have had a significant history of hospitalizations. The primary objective of the program is to help residents achieve and maintain successful, independent lives in the community. This goal is accomplished through individualized support that is tailored to meet each person’s specific needs, with a focus on stabilizing and improving emotional, mental, and physical health, while helping individuals remain free from recurring hospitalizations. The Wall Street Program fosters an environment where residents are encouraged to feel good about themselves and their place in the world, benefitting from safe, affordable, and supportive housing.
The Wall Street residence consists of eight separate but connected units, together serving a total of ten men and women. Each individual resides in their own fully functional apartment, which they rent individually under a lease agreement managed by a property management company independent from direct support services. This unique setup blends privacy and autonomy with access to communal support, allowing residents to maintain their independence while having the reassurance of staff available at all times. The environment is designed to provide the comforts of home along with 24/7 staffing to support individuals as needed.
Staff working at the Wall Street Program are all MHRT-1 and CRMA certified, ensuring they are equipped to help residents with both daily living skills and more specialized needs related to their mental health diagnoses. Consistent staffing day and night, including awake overnight staff, creates a stable and secure setting. Upon moving in, each resident partners with staff to develop a comprehensive Individualized Service Plan (ISP). These plans focus on both short- and long-term goals, and are regularly reviewed and updated to adapt to each resident’s progress and changing needs. Through these targeted supports, the program works to empower every resident to maintain success in the community, achieve greater personal wellness, and find a lasting sense of stability and belonging in their daily lives.
