    Compassionate attentive staff, beautiful facility

I live at Sunrise Foxhill and couldn't be happier - the staff are compassionate, attentive, and truly make it feel like family; I feel safe, loved, and well cared for. The property and common areas are beautiful and spotless, with an outdoor patio, pets on each floor, varied activities, and restaurant-style meals (excellent portions, sushi Tuesdays and standout Sunday brunch). Nursing support and memory care are solid (RN 24/7, locked memory floors), housekeeping and three meals are included, and management is accessible and responsive. It is expensive (large buy-in and about $335/day), but for the quality of care, service, and environment, I highly recommend it.

    About Sunrise at Fox Hill

Sunrise at Fox Hill is a large senior living community with resort-style amenities and quiet, relaxing spaces, where you'll find an outdoor patio with wicker chairs under big umbrellas for sitting outside, and indoors you'll see floral artwork, warm decor, and elegant furnishings all around the common rooms and sitting areas, with special touches like grand pianos and natural sunlight pouring through windows that make those rooms more comfortable for residents and their families alike, and the bathrooms have safety bars, granite counters, and wooden cabinets, set up for both comfort and support, which helps those who might need a little more help moving around or getting ready day by day. There are several types of apartments, some with cozy bedrooms, kitchenettes with granite countertops, and quiet sitting areas, so everyone can find a living space that works. Sunrise at Fox Hill has an on-site salon with chairs and shampoo bowls if you want a haircut or some pampering, and there's a fitness center where you can use the treadmill or the recumbent bike if you're keeping active or working on some gentle exercises, plus a cinema for movie nights and a library for those who want a quiet reading spot filled with books.

In shared spaces, you'll see inviting sitting areas, bright with natural light and comfortable seating, where you might join in arts or culture activities, or just sit together and talk. In the Memory Care neighborhoods, the staff helps adults living with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, and there are dedicated areas like a viewing room with a big flat-screen TV, a memory care dining room with white tablecloths, a bistro that has soft chairs and a popcorn machine, and a welcoming reception desk with warm wood paneling and pendant lighting, all designed to make the place less confusing and more calming for people who live with memory loss. Sunrise at Fox Hill runs specialized memory care programs like the Reminiscence Program and the Terrace Club for those who need it, and their Dignity Home Care services give extra in-home help with activities like bathing, dressing, medication, and daily routines, so residents can get hands-on assistance as needs change.

The community covers a wide range of care, including independent living for seniors who want maintenance-free living, assisted living with help in daily activities, skilled nursing for more complex health needs, short-term stays for those recovering or in transition, and hospice care when needed, all supported by trained staff managed by Sunrise Senior Living. The Memory Care services are in the same building, so transitions can be smoother, and there's always help nearby if new needs come up. The community welcomes pets, it's wheelchair accessible, and you'll find Wi-Fi and internet throughout, so people can stay connected. Activities and programs cover social, physical, mental, and emotional needs, so there's always something going on if you want to join, and residents themselves help govern the community, including active condominium owners who have a say in what's happening, making it a place where people can be involved if they like.

Sunrise at Fox Hill offers private dining areas when residents want a special meal with family or friends and prides itself on being friendly, with staff who are recognized for their kindness and helpful support, which has been recognized with awards for senior living and staff friendliness. Everything's set up with an eye towards comfort and safety, whether it's the grab bars in the bathrooms, the specialized programs for memory support, or the way the rooms are lit and decorated. There's no pressure to join everything, but activities, programs, and support are always there when you want them, and it's possible to tour the community if you'd like to see daily life, meals, and what's offered.

    About Sunrise Senior Living

Beginning with a single community in 1981, there are now more than 280 Sunrise Senior Living communities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Each of our communities maintains the mission laid out by Sunrise founders Paul and Terry Klaassen more than 40 years ago: to champion quality of life for all seniors. The Klaassens’ vision to redefine senior care resulted in a resident-centered approach to care that focuses on the individuality of each resident and has set the standard in the assisted living industry. We are defined by our people. Our team of serving hearts are guided by our mission, Principles of Service and Values – all of which help encourage independence, preserve dignity and enable freedom of choice for each resident.
