Safe, kind staff; administrative issues
I'm glad my mom loves it here - the building feels safe, is nice, and the neighbors are great. Staff are patient, kind, and helpful; we've had excellent orthopedic care (Dr. Becker was delightful), though scheduling with Dr. Reddish was disappointing. Food has been a weak spot-often cold, bland, and mushy-though a new chef seems to be improving things; note dentures aren't available on site. Administration is frustrating: numerous rules, poor admin-to-resident communication, and inconsistent masking/lockdown notices (the "cruise-ship" myth persists). It's very expensive with a long lease; apartments have a full kitchen and laundry, pub lunch and formal dining dinner options, and maintenance is handled by the condo owner.
