Fine Living Care sits at 4605 Navy Day Place in Suitland, MD, and is a small care home licensed for up to five residents, though the organization runs several community sites called Fine Living Care I, II, III, and IV across neighborhoods like Suitland, Clinton, and District Heights, all with a focus on supporting seniors in a peaceful, homelike space where the staff show kindness and joy, and care is available around the clock, day or night, for any resident who needs it. The community provides both assisted living and memory care with tailored programs, including unique offerings like the "Dignity" and "Side by Side" care plans, so residents can receive help suited to exactly what they need if they're dealing with memory loss, Alzheimer's, or dementia, and the staff helps with everything from bathing, dressing, medication management, and hygiene to transfers and even insulin injections and high-acuity care, depending on what someone requires. There's a partnership with the Best of Care group, and a strong focus on making life easier for any resident, whether they're looking for private or semi-private rooms, with furnished options, or they're more independent and just want some community and a safe place to live, because the building's got emergency alert systems, wheelchair-friendly design, and non-ambulatory care for those who need it. Residents can expect homemade meals, three times daily, and if someone has special diet needs like diabetes or hypertension, the kitchen accommodates restrictions, not to mention the facility helps with laundry, dry cleaning, and housekeeping, and even has a traveling hairdresser, which is a nice touch for regular grooming. For social life, Fine Living Care runs activity plans and community events like movie nights, craft plans, game rooms, music and animal therapy, recreation rooms, and trips to places outside-including transport for errands, doctor visits, and even church or faith-based services, and for physical well-being, there's a fitness space with a sauna or jacuzzi, plus garden areas and walking paths for those who enjoy the outdoors. The goal is always to help promote independence, keep folks active, and encourage family connections for good spirits and health, while personalized care plans stay flexible as needs change, and respite care is on hand for short-term stays when caregivers at home need a break. Families and residents find the place comfortable and uplifting, and the professional staff works with outside healthcare providers as needed to make sure medical care is covered, all the while keeping the community safe and friendly, as the reviews and awards for top meals, activities, and staff friendliness show, and if you're curious, there's even a brochure you can download and advisors you can chat with to help you decide if Fine Living Care's a good fit.
Excellent care, clean facility, inaccessible
I was initially apprehensive about placing my aunt, but Fine Living quickly became my top choice. The pleasant owner showed me the attractive, very clean, well-monitored facility; staff are professional, friendly, genuinely caring and clearly love the residents. Excellent, affordable care - only downside is it isn't accessible by public transportation.
