    Warm, attentive, reasonably priced care

I placed my mom here and I'm grateful - the staff are kind, patient, and long-tenured; they know residents by name, provide attentive care, and keep families informed. The community feels warm and family-like, is clean and safe, and offers lots of activities, social opportunities and outdoor spaces that really lifted my mom's spirits (memory care is secure and well-run). Meals and some rooms are not perfect-food quality and building age vary-but pricing is reasonable and the team goes above and beyond. I highly recommend this caring, homey place for seniors.

    About Heritage Woods

Heritage Woods comes across as one of those places that really covers most needs people have as they get older because you'll find a wellness room, a spa for relaxing, and a fitness room if you want to keep moving, and the onsite library gives people a quiet spot to read while the community and residents themselves put together activities like games, painting classes, and group outings, so boredom doesn't settle in quite so easily. The housekeeping and linen service gives everyone a break from chores, and transportation gets arranged for doctor visits and running errands, so you're not left scrambling for a ride. Mental wellness programs give support for memory and thinking, including medication management and specialized memory care, and you've got staff who can help with bathing, dressing, and moving around. The building has a 24-hour call system if someone needs help fast, and nursing care is onsite every day from twelve to sixteen hours, which helps peace of mind a bit if you worry about health issues. Pets can live here, and residents can park their own cars, which not every place allows. Wi-Fi works for people who want to keep up with family online, and rooms come with kitchenettes so you're able to make a snack if you feel like it. There are community spaces where people can talk or join in activities. Short stays or respite care get offered if someone just needs care for a bit, and a beauty salon and barber are right inside, so grooming is nice and easy. Heritage Woods takes people out on excursions, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day, and takes care of personal needs with staff ready to help. There are programs for orthopedic rehabilitation, ventilator support, dialysis, and Alzheimer's disease, plus short-term care, hospice care, and therapies like physical, speech, and occupational. People get help with eating, dressing, and other daily needs, and there are group activities focused on keeping minds sharp and connecting with others. Residents live in anything from studio apartments to larger suites, which means it stays pretty flexible. The community supports independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and home care, all right on one campus, so most folks don't have to move if they start needing more help as time passes, and all meals get prepared with attention to good nutrition. Heritage Woods got recognized as the first stand-alone assisted living community in the country to earn the Step II Quality Award from the American Healthcare Association and National Center for Assisted Living, which stands out a bit. The staff and residents often gather for things like tournaments, Wheel of Fortune games, and group painting events, keeping daily life active and social as much as possible, and for older adults who don't need care, the place offers maintenance-free apartments so you can focus on living without worrying about fixing things around the home.
