    Attentive staff, clean, safe, recommended

I moved my mom to Atria Longmeadow and couldn't be happier. The staff are loving, attentive, and communicative; the building and grounds are spotless and safe; residents are active and social with lots of activities, outings, and chef-cooked meals. The transition was smooth, COVID protocols were strong, and our family feels confident and grateful - I highly recommend it.

    About Atria Longmeadow Place

Atria Longmeadow Place sits in Burlington, MA, right near conservation land, with well-kept gardens and a courtyard with a fountain that feels peaceful, and the folks there do their best to help everyone feel at home, so you get staff that's friendly and helpful day or night, making sure people are safe, comfortable, and taken care of, which makes it a relief for people who want their parents or loved ones to have dependable support every day; and you'll see people relaxing in cozy places like the living room with a fireplace, reading in the library, playing games in the card room or enjoying the sun out on the patio. Meal times happen in a bright dining room, where tables are set with fresh flowers and fruit, and meals are planned by chefs who try to serve food that's both healthy and good, and if you want a snack or to sit with friends, the bistro and cafe are open too, so people can connect and eat together. Apartments come in several sizes, ranging from studios to two bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, walk-in showers, emergency call systems, cable or satellite TV, kitchenettes, and rental options, and for extra safety, there's an emergency alert system and individual temperature control in every unit. Some units even come with special features for those who have health needs or require more support.

People who move in get the choice of independent living, assisted living, memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, and even short-term respite care if needed. Assisted living services give help with things like bathing, grooming, dressing, and tracking medicines, with staff available 24/7 to anyone who needs it, and there's care for people who need skilled nursing or hospice services, so as people's needs change, they don't have to leave. For memory care, the community keeps a smaller, home-like area to help people feel less confused and more comfortable, and there are special programs for memory exercises and custom health plans. The community supports spiritual needs too, with onsite and offsite devotional services.

Engage Life® programs fill up the days, offering classes, games, outings, art and social events, book swaps, yoga, fitness, and wellness activities, all geared toward helping people stay active and connected, and monthly events from The Social Series bring folks together, which makes it easier to meet new friends. The grounds and indoor common areas give everyone space to walk, garden, or just sit and talk, and the salon and beauty shop are there for grooming and self-care, so people always have the chance to look and feel their best.

Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance are provided, and if anyone needs to go to a doctor's visit or wants to go on an outing, the complimentary transportation will get them there, plus parking is available for residents and visitors, and the whole building is handicap accessible with elevators, which helps people get around easily. Health and wellness services include medication management, therapy-physical, speech, and occupational-and support groups for residents and their families. The Wi-Fi and internet access make a difference for those who want to stay connected with family, and the setting, being close to bus lines, helps with getting around town too.

Atria Longmeadow Place runs tours for people considering the place, letting them see apartment layouts, daily routines, and try out activities or dining, and it's earned awards like Best of Senior Living thanks to good reviews from residents and families, though as with any community, one might want to visit more than once to get a true feel for what the everyday atmosphere is like, but overall, people say the staff's caring, the setting's pleasant, and the options suit those who want different help as they age.
