    Luxury facility caring staff thriving

I moved my mom here and we're thrilled - the brand-new, immaculate facility feels more like a luxury hotel with a movie theater, pub, courtyard and plenty of bright common spaces. The staff (Shannon RN, John and many others) are warm, attentive and genuinely caring, made move-in easy, and my mom has thrived with a busy social calendar - movies, dancing, exercise, games, happy hours and outings - and has made many friends. Meals are generally very good and the community offers thoughtful, personalized care and peace of mind. It's not cheap and I've noticed occasional staffing or dining hiccups, but overall I highly recommend it.

    About Stonebridge at Burlington

Stonebridge at Burlington sits in the heart of Burlington, Massachusetts, and offers a range of living choices including independent living, assisted living, and memory care, all on one campus, and folks can bring both their cats and dogs since the place allows pets, which isn't the case everywhere. Residents find rooms of different sizes, some fit for couples, all with wheelchair accessible showers, and the whole building has clear pathways for those who use walkers or wheelchairs, making it easier to move about, and there are special safety features installed like bracelet alarms for those who're prone to wandering, especially in the memory care section. The Avita Memory Care building is dedicated to helping seniors with dementia or Alzheimer's, and stands out for handling more severe behavioral and wandering risks, thanks to secure technology and staff trained to manage challenging behaviors and needs, from medication management-such as blood sugar checks and insulin shots-to incontinence and daily reminders for grooming or restroom use.

Residents have access to both indoor and outdoor shared spaces, like sunny courtyards, an artist studio, entertainment theater, a library, a billiards room, Good Dog Café, restaurant-style dining options, Journey Salon & Spa, a modern fitness center, and the pub for sports viewing, all set up in a clean, modern environment noted for being well-kept and welcoming, and there's free Wi-Fi all around the community. There is transportation, sometimes complimentary or at-cost depending on the destination, plus resident parking for those who drive, which makes going to appointments or outings simpler, and the community offers respite care and hospice support too, so short-term or end-of-life needs can be handled right on site.

Meals here are planned and cooked by chefs, with a focus on nutrition and taste, and a lot of the food is made from scratch, plus a resident can visit the beauty salon, barber shop, or join organized activities-everything from brain games and creative art programs to group outings and devotional services, all scheduled by a full-time team, and the place has a reputation for keeping people socially and mentally active, something families often notice. Medical care is available, since RNs and LPNs are on staff, and seniors who need more support than assisted living can stay in skilled nursing areas, so there's a true continuum of care as health needs change, and that's useful for those who want to age in place without moving again.

The Stonebridge staff get described as helpful, joyful, and kind, with folks always on hand day or night, offering reminders and help with medication, bathing, or dressing as needed, which can bring real peace of mind, and behavioral care is available for those dealing with more complex needs. With a calendar full of events, activities for mind, body, and spirit, plus the Artists in Residence program and the Cooking Up Memories group for reminiscing with food, the community really does have a busy, friendly feeling, and strong ties through social media or family advisors make it easier for loved ones to stay connected, learn more, or arrange a visit, either in-person or virtually. Stonebridge at Burlington, recognized as a Boston Globe Top Place to Work, focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment with a mix of services and programs so older adults can live comfortably, whether they're independent or need extra help, and everyone can enjoy the little things like a hot meal, a sunny courtyard, or a chat with friends in the pub or café.
