    Caring staff, excellent care, pricey

I moved my mom here and overall we've been very pleased - the staff are caring, nursing and therapy (PT/OT/SLP) are excellent, the community is warm, clean and active, and the apartments and grounds are lovely. Early dining was restaurant-quality but the food declined after chef changes-meals can be inconsistent. Communication and frequent staff/management turnover have been frustrating, and it's pricey, though the team often goes above and beyond. I feel peace of mind and would recommend it with the caveat to confirm current food service, staffing stability, and costs before deciding.

About The Residence at Five Corners

The Residence at Five Corners is a senior living community in Easton, Massachusetts, with a unique Cape Cod-inspired design and landscaped grounds, where older adults can live comfortably in private apartments that have kitchenettes, walk-in closets, and private bathrooms, either furnished or unfurnished, and there's an emergency call system in each home for safety, plus options for studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom layouts. The community offers independent living for seniors who don't need daily help, and assisted living where staff provide personal support for activities like bathing, dressing, medication management, medication administration, and even crushed medication services, and if someone needs more care, licensed skilled nursing is available right on site, which means residents can stay in the same community if their needs grow over time, and there's a continuum of care through progressive levels so families don't need to move elsewhere for more support.

For those living with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia, there's the Reflections memory care program, where certified staff trained by the National Institute for Dementia Education support residents with empathy, mindfulness, and engagement, and the community works hard to keep everyone safe and included, offering specialized environments and activities. There are respite care options for short stays if someone needs temporary help or just wants to try the community before making a long-term choice.

Amenities at The Residence at Five Corners are framed around comfort and convenience, which means there's all-day restaurant-style dining with gourmet, nutritious meals, plus daily social outings, spiritual programs, wellness activities, clubs, music and movie events, and opportunities for exercise in the fitness center, and if someone wants quiet, there's a library, gardens, walking paths, lounges, and activity rooms to enjoy. The building has elevators, is handicap accessible, and offers 24-hour staff availability with receptionists, restaurant service associates, caregivers, nurses, and hospitality specialists working together, and there's a security system in place so residents feel at ease. The community gives laundry service, housekeeping, medication reminders, oxygen assistance, and help coordinating advanced care with outside providers.

Seniors at The Residence at Five Corners have access to internet, TV lounges, a theater room, beauty and barber shop, a pub or sports bar, community gallery, and even special technology like REACT Neuro that supports wellness. There's a full-time director of events and activities, so residents get many choices to stay busy, connect with others, or take part in programs for physical, mental, and social wellness. Transportation services make it easy to get out to local shops and medical facilities nearby, and the staff, including memory care assistants, LPNs, med techs, maintenance, and housekeeping, are known for being attentive and friendly, helping create a community that tries to meet a wide range of needs while focusing on dignity, comfort, and personal preferences as people age.
